A buddy of mine is trying to figure out how to transport a half of really dank and stinky weed safely through a 10-12 hour car trip. He says he usually just jocks his stash when he travels, but this stuff reeks to high heaven when you only have 2 grams and he'll have around 14. He's going on vacation in the US and will be traveling through several states, but not across the border or anything.

I told him not to smoke the entire trip and to try to double or triple wrap the stuff and then wrap a couple of dryer sheets around it, but he doesn't think that will hide the smell. Obviously he won't be doing anything stupid to warrant getting pulled over, but shit happens and he wants to be prepared and not have his ride reeking like pot.

So what would you guys do in this situation? How have you safely traveled with your stash?

mason jar is good... if thats not available.. paper paper and more paper... start in plastic of course... doubled to be safe.. then paper grocery sack.. with dryer sheets in between... paper and plastic..paper (especially that thick brown shit) does wonders absorbing smell.. but if you can find a jar... dudes right.. go with that...

I'd just stuff it somewhere in a suitcase. End of story. No conspiracy bullshit. As long as he's not doing 140+ and not driving like a maniac there's little chance he'll get pulled over. And in the event that he does, a 1/2 oz deep in a suitcase somewhere isn't going to stink up the car and get it searched.

watch and pay attention... don't let them search the car... and unless you get a k-9 unit pulling your over your in the clear... and if you get pulled over by a k-9 unit your pretty much fucked no matter how well you cover the smell...

I just drove an equally long trip with an O of (most likely) equally smelly weed. I had alot of things in the back due to me moving but I just double bagged and put it in the bottom of a shaving kit bag. I have a clean driving record however, so i'm never too worried about getting pulled over. If you're the extremely paranoid type, a mason jar + double bagged is a good bet...or you could buy a large candle and hollow it out, put it in two bags and put it in the center. Melt the sides of the candle back down and you're done. But..that's if your really paranoid. Driving with the back windows cracked and the heat on is also a good bet.

Ive found paper works well at covering it up. When Ive had to hide stinking buds in the past (on the way into glastonbury) i rolled up the baggies (double bagged) and stuck them in a bottle of sun cream. Lot of hassle and we didnt even get searched. But the people just in front of us did so worth it.

When ever I pick up from my dealer that drives to cali once a week he always comes back with the weed in these air tight bags like zip locks but they are vacum tight, no smell untill you cut it open. Thats what I would do, but I would probably just smoke it all. Its a road trip come on buddy!

the risk is up to him. just dont be bait. dont smoke in the car, try not to be too high @ interstate borders. if they're gonna get you, they're gonna get you. and 14 g is really easy to hide compared to a qp. even a qp is pretty easy to hide. grow some ballz and just use several airtight ziploc bags if you're really concerned.

If your the type that likes to smoke on a long trip (like me) just don't be dumb. Set the cruise, open the back windows and put the heater on high. Toke from a pipe and have some kind of body spray like Tag or Axe handy. If you smoke cigs, always smoke right after you toke. That is my method and my vehicle never smells like weed.

get axe bodyspray and spray it all over your weed. until it's like dripping. then wrap it up in tinfoil and if anyone asks whats in the tinfoil just say dont worry its just my axe bodyspray.

If you see a cop behind you, turn off on to a side road.

If you're going to be an idiot and carry weed in your car with you, never carry it in the people/cargo area. Get a jar, put the weed in it, and then duct tape it somewhere in the engine compartment or under the rear bumper if theres room. Make sure the bitch is secure. What I did though was put some industrial strength magnets (the little 1/2 inch cube magnets) in a plastic bag and put that at the bottom of the jar, now, put all your weed and shit in a bag and put that in the jar on top of the magnets.

Screw the lid on securely, and then attach it somewhere under the car. Just be mindful of hitting potholes at like 40 mph, don't want any hard sudden jarring to the car anyways, but especially when something is being held on with magnets.

Thanks for the suggestions. He was thinking about doing the shampoo thing where you drain the shampoo out, put the weed in the bottle, and then replace the shampoo. He might use the candle idea too because he could rewrap the candle in the original package and then wrap it in paper to make it look like a present.

Since the trip will be mostly on highways, the magnet idea probably isn't the best one. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

double or triple bag it, then get a jar of peanut butter, dig some of it out, shove the weed in, put some if the penut butter back in. then put that in like a grocery with a few other food items to make it look normal. yeah its kinda messy but it works
