Default McKenna describing his experiences with Cannabis

I've only listened to 12 minutes so far, but I think he puts the effects of cannabis in a very rational way. I'm sure a lot of you have/still have similar experiences to what he describes.

This site has been posted before, and I thank whoever posted it.

It's a trialogue (one of many) between 3 dudes, but I always enjoy listening to McKenna describe drug experiences.

I hate Terrance McKenna with a (probably irrational) passion. Anyone who attributes evolution to apes eating mushrooms is a complete moron. Drugs are fun, but they aren't that important on the grand scheme of things.

I agree, and detest the man sometimes, but I admire his ability to rationalize his drug experiences.

I'm pretty sure everyone on Totse knows what a cannabis (it's not capitalized retard) experience is like prick.

the theory states that the evolution of speech[/b and [b]language could be attributed to mushrooms, not the evolution of apes to humans.
anyway, he himself has stated he doesn't believe it, and that it is highly unlikely.

"If I judiciously control my intake of cannabis, it like gives me a second wind and a third wind to go forward with creative activity."

true that mckenna

"It can turn you into a stupor, sort of lazy, loutish person. On the other hand, it can allow you to do very hard work for very long periods of time. So you sort of have to manage it, and I think a lot of people don’t learn to manage it."

Half an hour, 40 minutes into the discussion they get into some very neat aspects of pot-use and consciousness.
