I've got a non-take-apartable, ceramic (I think?) pipe that I wanna clean. Water ain't doing it. What do I use?

You can get some bong/pipe cleaning stuff at head shops, something 420 its called I think. Or yeh, rubbing alcohol, or if its ceramic it should be ok in hot water, let that shit simmer, swish it around and let it simmer some more then. Don't know if you meant water as in running water through it, or hot water. Either way get a back of qtips or pipe cleaners and go at that shit.

Well I can't think of it being anything else so..... I guess I'll try that then I'll either be reporting back with happy results or I'll have an excuse to get a new pipe.

Alright, goodluck, you might need to use qtips or something to get all the resin out (while its still warm and soft)

GREAT SUCCESS!!

Hot mufuckin' water (2 coffee mugs full) + some vigorous shaking + some work with toilet paper = 1 happy pipe.

Rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, salt, pretty much anything that has minor solvent qualities cleans pretty well.

Use your imagination and see what works best for your pipe.

hydrogen peroxide,
Use your imagination and see what works best for your pipe.

- TomHydrogen peroxide will remove tar/resin from pipes? Are you sure about that? Is it even a solvent? I never heard that one before. Clean some cuts out, sure. A pipe, I will be interested to see if its true.

I've never tried it actually. But it's used as a mouthwash, among other things. It's cheap as fuck and in almost every household, so it'd be worth a try.
