I was just wondering, i was recently prescribed Xanax by my doctor for an occasional panic attack that i have been getting after going off of antidepressants.
I was wondering if any of you have taken Xanax as an aid to remain calm and collected during a fight with another person. I just thought it might be an interesting way to keep your head.

i.e. take like .5 to 1mg or so beforehand and then being able to clearly and efficiently deal with things without seeming nervous (or getting nervous for that matter).

Yeah that kind of thing works with me when I take it, assuming you mean a verbal fight or discussion. Just don't take too much or you won't remember the convo.

Best to be careful too, you may be a little less emotional and more logical, and that can go down badly if you are talking to your girlfriend or something :P

Fighting on benzos?

your body has its own reaction to situations like fighting, like pumping out adrenalin... the human body can do remarkable things while you have a good bit of adrenalin...wonder what would happen if you jabbed an epipen into your leg a few minutes before a fight... not sure how well an IM injection of epinephrine would work, as ive never had the urge or need to stab myself in the leg with one of those.... for people going into anaphylactic shock, they give them about 15 minutes to get to a hospital so i imagine the effects are decently prolonged...

That is most likely a bad idea, but none of us know how your react to benzodiazepines.

Most people suffer from a lack of coordination on CNS depressants, so most likely, this will outweigh the pros of it, if there are many at all.

Don't do a stimulant either, any great amount of physical exertion on the body + a stimulant could have lasting negative health consequences.

You are probably better off not doing any drugs, and if it is an absolute MUST, I say a little PCP. Those guys get incredibly strong from it, but a little crazy at the same time.

Don't use Benzos to prep for a fight. If anything it would end up putting you at a disadvantage.

I live my life the same way bro. What we were talking about was in this specific context. I don't see the point in this dude dosing up on benzos for the sole reason of helping him in a fight. If he happens to be on benzos and some bitch wants to talk shit, that's a different story. I'm not telling him to run away from a fight...only that he doesn't do something dumb like eat something that slows you the fuck down (in one manner or another) just so he can go fuck some dude up.

If he would have asked if Meth or Coke would help him in a fight (or even a few opiates) I would have said Hell yes, go for it. If at all possible, I think battles should be fought completely sober, just so you get the whole experience. People who love drugs think they make everything better..and that's just ignorant.
