In more or less three months, it'll be that time of the year again. I thought this year it would be a good idea to post this a couple of months early to give fellow totseans time to organize.

This year the Global Marijuana March will take place on May 3rd. You have until then to figure out where you want to go, make a sign, and think up kick-ass slogans and mantras to chant while you march through the streets of your city.

I'll be at the Calgary march. The more people, the bigger our voice is, so take the time to take part in the cause we all believe in. Have fun, be loud and proud, and remember that joints are easier to conceal and ditch then a gas mask.

San Fran! Ive never seen a march though, just a bunch of booths selling pipes and people sitting in the grass smoking weed. SOO much fun. Edibles everywhere and any type of pipe or bong you could imagine. So many hippies too.

Apparently theres a party a few hours after then end of this one, I don't think there was last year, or if there was I did not attend it.

You'll get there and the group will slowly get bigger. Of course, cops show up too. I did see people get talked to by cops last year, I think people had shit taken away from them, but I didn't see anybody getting taken away or anything. Go ahead and plan on smoking, but I wouldn't bring too much, or any paraphernalia you're very fond of. Just a couple joints would be good.

When theres a really big crowd, just go in the middle and smoke up. There will be people organizing the thing, people with petitions, someone should have a loud-speaker to direct everyone and warn people about provoking the police ... last years was great. Then we march all around downtown, certain streets get closed of by the cops and everyones smoking pot ... downtown smells great.

You know The Next Level? They donated some giveaways for the end of the march last time, probably will again this year. So wear a related T-shirt, make some signs for you and your friends to carry around, about the truth about pot. And don't provoke the police.

Woo, its on my birthday, and I'm gonna be marching up parliament hill (though last year the cops made us move to majors hill, where we invaded the tulip festival...)

I'm going to try to make it to the Vancouver march, althrough it I do it means I won't be able to go to the &T meetup/concert.

5 hour drive, should be worth it though.

the one in toronto was the biggest in the world last year. it was awesome, the cops didnt care at all, i was talking to a group of them with a dog while I smoked a joint. we were too loaft to march the parade so we just stayed in the park and blazed the whole time.

me and my friends almost got suspended for handing out hundreds of fliers around the school for the march last year.

I'll be at the Toronto one for sure. Last years was fucking awesome, the cops just stand and watch in disgust as the hugest crowd of people walks around with big bongs etc. One guy was walking around with a sexy ass plant just showing it off to everyone.

I should be at the Chi town one. I went to the one in Peoria a few years back and I think it must have been canceled because no one was there. Either that or everyone forgot.;)

I got ridiculously baked... then I ate two cookies, I haven't been that high ever since then and I think only my first time could top it.

Amazing setting too, everyone I met was nice and had this really weird conversation with some cop about how McDonald's was going to make shitloads, meanwhile I'm picking weed leaves off my feet (They were all over the street for some reason).

Definitely going this year, I wouldn't miss it.

Regina is 5 hours away so I could go there, but I have to work on Saturday because I'm broke and I can't afford to take the day off. Well that what a pretty fun march this year. I would have to say last year's was a lot better because it was such a nice day, but this year was still fun.

Starts POURING rain harder then I've seen in ages just as some band starts to play their first song around 5ish I guess.

Me and a few friends I made at the bus terminal on the way all fucking had to tie down tarps from inside a vendor that graciously let us huddle in their Tent/Store (Roof covered only, until we did the tarp thing anyways) and I still got every piece of me soaked 100%. Although the owner of the store was wasted beyond belief and seemed to think pretending the place was a pirate ship yelling "BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES MATIES!" was fun (well it made me laugh at least).
My Boxers were fucking soaked... Shirt under another shirt under a thick sweater? SOAKED!
It was intense! Felt like some rain forest or something.

Seems like they closed down the festival a bit after 6 or 630 a couple hours before planned because of it. The whole park turned into a marsh (You could see floating dime bags and shit on bodies of water about the size of a large pond in some places).

Had a great time, but last year seemed better since it was warm and sunny, not all mud and rain (It was comparable to a Slip-and-Slide, withouht the pain). Plus when everyone is huddled in their own groups and tents it seems a whole lot more segregated and not as social.

Oh well, I'll be there next year :)

I went to one. I had to leave before the actual march started... but I don't think I missed out on much. Not many showed up. It was lame.
