Make sure you do plenty of research before you attempt anything. And keep in mind it can take a LONG time to give any real effects. One time I attempted it late at night looking for a little something to help me sleep (fuckin' years ago) and didn't feel anything a couple hours later, so I think I ended up smokin' a bowl and falling asleep. Next morning I woke up feeling really odd... It's an interesting substance that much is for sure... Just... Take it easy, be careful, do plenty of research, and don't be surprised if you don't feel anything for quite a while. It's not like a normal drug, just keep that in mind.

Dosage depends on alot of things, i wouldn't go over 25g if i was you and for most people its far less..

I felt fairly stoned, got some nice mdma like effects and fairly mild visual distortions, though it doesn't feel like any mix of anything else.

Me and a buddy tried this once just because we were bored. Easily, the most disgusting thing I have ever drank. Yeah, it sucked..but I don't regret it, mostly because, whats the point?

Obviously the taste. The duration is way too fucking long (good for some drugs..baad for this.) It's kind of like being stoned..if smoking pot only came with a fogged up head and a feeling I can only describe as "dog shit". I was lucky enough not to get sick off of it like my friend. He ended up hurling all night, he said the nutmeg coming from your nose burns like fire and, coincidently, just reminded him of how gross it was in the first place, thus making him puke more.

We both keep our distance from the stuff now..even refusing to eat anything with nutmeg in it.

Not worth it at all, but it was an experience..and like I said, I don't regret it.

When I did it I ate 3 table spoons of the ground up stuff with a ton of milk. It is true, the taste is the worst but if you are really committed you'll find a way to down it.

5 hours later I was standing underneath a streetlight and my friend kneed me in my thigh for some reason, and then all the sudden I had the worst paranoia, nausea, my vision pulsated black and dark red, and I felt like I was dying. 5 minutes later that stopped and I just felt like shit/stoned the rest of the night.

Ahh nutmeg. If you're a social outcast, around 12-17 and have no idea where to get drugs this is where you turn. I wouldn't go above 2 tablespoons if I where you.

Don't mix it in stuff, ignore the recipes on Erowid or anywhere else. Man up and drink it down but don't just put it in your mouth and swallow; swish it around a bit that tends to get rid of the rough sandpaper feel that most people complain about more than the taste.

It is a mistake to take more thinking it's not working because it will take a couple of hours to really kick in. Make sure you do this before the weekend hits and you have absolutely nothing to do because you will feel like shit and look very, very stoned especially if you have no experience with drugs.

Check to make sure your not allergic first! I had a friend and in high school he drank a shit load of nutmeg mixed with water right before school and then during one of our classes his hands and fingers and face started swelling up really bad and he ended up at the doctors blaming the swelling on some gum, but turns out hes allergic to large amounts of nutmeg, never did it my self seems alot easier to just smoke some dope, but do update us.

Suggestions? Eat fresh. Very fresh. You should be able to mold the grounds into much larger, solid, waxy chunks by rolling it between your fingers. That bone-dry, flavorless crap in a tin will do basically none of the stuff it should do, but will still do some of the downsides, so... yeah. Eat fresh. 14-28g or so. Make sure you've got chasers both nonpolar and polar, 'cause choking it down is the hard part.

Just curious, just couldn't manage to consume nutmeg ever again, but where do you get whole nutmegs at? Never really looked to hard, but never saw them at any grocery store when I was 14.
