Default Giving a toast

What are some nice things you'd like to hear if you were receiving a toast from your SO in front of other people?

Also, what are some things you'd say if you were giving the toast?

I understand every situation and person is individual, but there's a few things everyone loves to hear.

Depends. What is the toast for? That makes a big difference in what I would say.

Start with this:

"Webster's Online Dictionary defines <person's name> as Error404: File Not Found."

jeez dont you just say what you like about them. be honest, and talk about where the importance in the relationship is for you. if you cant do that honestly its probably a shit relationship.. if you cant think specifics go a little abstract with it and just say that the time you share always feels valuable or something.

i know i wouldnt want to be embellished in any way shape or form.. unless its my friends trying to help me get some tail, but then again a lot of my friends are pricks that would probably fuck up my chances by bringing up my perceived shortcomings.

I have pretty much exactly what I'll say, I just want to hear if anyone has any funny/wacky/sweet ideas I haven't thought about.

No prob. I have a speech saying how I'm glad she's in my life, yada yada, but I want something that'll make people go WOW, that was a toast.

I think I've posted this before, but my favorite toast is as follows...

"A toast, to absent friends."

If you know why then you know why.
