Long time reader, first time poster.

I've never done drug in my life before but have been good friends with many dealers (kind of grew up in the culture - basically I'm not entirely clueless). Lately I've been reading about shrooms and are kind of fascinated by them. Can anyone help learn more about them?

Where's a good resource to read about this kind of stuff (besides googling a lot like I have been doing)?

What are the positive and negitive side effects?

How easily or legally could I grow them?

Again, I'm pretty much a total newb to this stuff, so any help would be appreciated.

+ Fun, learning how to better yourself, learning how the world works, tripping, learning life lessons from good trips, learning how to live from bad ones

- Becoming overwhelmed, having a bad-trip and not being in control of it, not learning from it as a result of fear ... but learning to control the fear is a positive benefit of that

Not much else to worry about...

How easily or legally could I grow them?

Pretty easily, it seems, although I can't speak from expereince, yet. Check out this site (http://www.shroomery.org/) for good information on that topic.

Shroomery is a great resource, as Beholder mentioned. They have a great forum, and everything mushrooms related.

if you have cluster headaches.. thats another plus..

But before you go out and try them you should really look into a few lighter drugs. Smoke a little weed first, just to help you get a feel. Just get the dose right, and have fun.

Oh, and mushrooms aren't easy to grow, growing them indoors runs a high risk of mold, and bacteria unless your really careful. Outdoors is seasonal, and you need exact conditions.

That thread is also about trying mushrooms, and there are some excellent posts in there that you can learn a lot from. My main point in posting this though is so that you can read my story on there.


If you read the entire thread there you will have a much greater understanding of what mushrooms are capable of, what to expect, and how to defuse a bad trip, AND learn from it.


Seriously. Go read it. It's not often that I am 100% nice to a thread starter, and it is only because you are being level headed about it. My sharing this with you is pretty much my seal of approval of your plans and intentions. You will do well, but just make sure you read that, some very good and important info there. Things every psychonaught should know.
