Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.

Caroline, if you read this, I'm breaking up with you. You broke your promise to stay off &TOTSE, and your promise to never read what I post.

Re: Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.
I say don't do it, if you like your relationship now.
Blow her off tonight, and cut contact (again) if you don't wanna mess up what you have now, for no real reason.
As usual, exes are exes for a reason, and why ruin something that's good now, to step again into what seems to be a mess?

...well that's a hard one. I understand having emotional attachment to an ex but you need to look at what you really want. You can love someone and know that it is not right. Who do you see yourself being happy with? That's the only question you have to answer. If the other girl treated you like shit before chances are it will go back to that again. If your new girlfriend loves you then maybe you need to spend time with her so she doesn't get the oh lord he's cheating on me feeling that girls get. I would say stick with the new one. The old one treated you like shit and sounds like a cunt.

Re: Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.
It sounds to me like the feelings you have for your ex are not so much feelings for her anymore, as residual feelings; missing the relationship you had, and what she represented to you as your first love and whatnot.
The fact that you contemplate getting back with her, and that you still have those residual feelings may indicate that you're not as happy with your current girlfriend as you think you should be, because by all superficial standards, it's a good relationship. Only you can decipher your feelings for yourself and figure out if you actually miss you ex, or if you miss the idea of her.
My advice would be to cease contact with her. Just politely but definitely cut her out of your life, give it some time and see if she still makes her way into your thoughts, and then decide how much your relationship really means to you, and what the best course of action would be.

Nice touch.
For me cheating is one thing I can never forgive. Unless you were date raped or something, there's no reason to "sleep with your best friend", not to mention any best friend that sleeps with my girlfriend will end up at the bottom of a river.
But if you really love her, do what your heart tells you.
Sometimes we have to take abuse to get what we love, or just to get to the bottom of an issue. You can never have doubts man, if you go to sleep with girl A thinking about girl B you'll never be happy. It's best to go see B and figure out if you want her or not, even if you end up losing both of them...in the long run...you'll be happy.
^^^I don't know if that's actually sound advice, but it's from my heart, not my logicaly thinking brain.

Leave her alone. I'm in a similar situation with the first guy that I was with, and it sucks. But the past is the past, and you have to let it go.

1) Are you hot?
2) A/S/L
You have a girlfriend who you want to leave for your ex-girlfriend who cheated on you, and you're trying to get e-pussy on top of it? No thanks.

Re: Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.
I'm 18, just graduated High School in Florida. I've lived here for about 2 years.
Before I moved down here, I lived in Kentucky and I was dating a girl up there. It was one of those rough relationships... Broke up 3 times, she had sex with my best friend. All that wonderful emotional roller coaster stuff. She was my "first love", after all.
Currently, I'm dating another girl. We'll call her Caroline. Caroline and I have been dating almost months... Have never broken up. Everything is really straight forward with us. If we have a problem we tell each other.
I've since tried to forget about my ex... It was too hard so I've been trying, more recently (within the last 6 months), to try to just be friends with her. To maybe test the waters and see if I can actually say "She's changed so much. The girl I loved is now officially gone forever"... yah know?
A couple of days ago I texted her to how she was doing. I hadn't actually communicated with her for a few weeks. I kept it as a good sign that if I can easily forget to return her phone call for 2 weeks then I'm getting closer to my goal. I asked how she was doing. She replied with "Not so good".
For some reason that tore me up. I was pissed at myself. 3 Words and it bothered me. I have no idea why. I tried calling her but she didn't pick up. I let it go.
Now, yesterday, she called me while I was with my girlfriend, having a "Scrubs" marathon. I had to go in the other room to tell her I was busy. I wasn't thinking, but it pissed of my girlfriend because I left her to talk to my ex... She knew who it was because she grabbed my phone before I could when it rang. My ex was hesitant to talk about anything important for a bit. I asked her plainly what was bothering her... She was having boyfriend problems and problems at home. It's all too cliche' for me to go in to details on that part.
I gave her some advice, but deep down I feel like I want her back... I keep having these day dreams where we get back together... and it's absurd. I have a perfect girlfriend, who doesn't rock the boat one bit, and for some reason I'm trying to find reasons to convince myself that I'm sad with what I have right now.
My ex pretty much told me all the problems she was having last night... but for some reason I made a huge effort to tell her I'm going to call her tonight. I don't know why I told her I would, there isn't anything left to say. I can't just be like "I want you back, move to Florida... because I don't think I really want that, and I always told myself I would never be that ex-boyfriend who calls you years later to ask you back while you're already in a relationship there for making more problems for you".
I've told Caroline I love her, and I really do. I just don't know why my Ex can still get under my skin like this.
Should I call her tonight... or blow her off? I feel like she needs something stable in her life, someone to count on, if only someone to keep a promise to talk to them...
I need advice... soon... Thanks in advance, and I'll be happy to clarify anything for you guys. I know I ranted a bit and I might of been a little confusing.
Caroline, if you read this, I'm breaking up with you. You broke your promise to stay off &TOTSE, and your promise to never read what I post.
You are fucking stupid. Just never talk to her again and get on with your life you fucking pussy crybaby.

Re: Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.
Look, I didn't read this, but if you need/want to talk to her for your sake, talk to her. If it's for her sake and she fucked you over, you don't owe her shit.
Edit: Upon reading the rest of this, my previous statement still applies... If you think you can still keep in contact and support your ex without it fucking up the relationship you're in (if you really think that you love Caroline), then support your ex. But the thing is, if your ex is still "getting under your skin," maybe you're not ready for another relationship.
I think you should make sure you're actually ready for another relationship before diving back into a new one.
It's normal to have feelings for an ex, but if it's to the point where you might compromise a relationship you now have with someone who you supposedly love... You're not ready for the relationship you're in. Maybe you should talk to the girl you're with, and let her know that you still want a girl who fucked you over.
Stupid shit, if you ask me.

Re: Should I talk to my ex? Long... But I would appreciate replies.
You miss the extreme highs you experienced in your former relationship.
My ex boyfriend and I had an extremely intense relationship...I loved him to the point of obsession and he loved me that way too. We used to have these crazy screaming, physical fights and then we'd have crazy, passionate makeup sex. He made me deleriously happy sometimes, but most of the time he made me crushingly miserable....And sometimes I miss him even though it's been 11 years since I saw him. If I had him back, though...I'd quickly regret it, because like I said...With him the bad times FAR outweighed anything good.
