Does Diffusion work in Jello?
Yeah, so I want to make 2C-B jello, just so I can take a lot of 2C-B and easily make it into small serving sized portions. Can I slowly mix 2g of 2C-B into x amount of jello (while the jello isn't boiling hot, but still completely liquid) and then pour that jello into those little jello mold things that make funny jello shapes? I would like either a definite answer that this works, or a better idea for me to put 2C-B into dose sized packaging.
And no, i'm not going to individually cap them all. Especially considering i lack a milligram scale.
And the 2C-B is the HBr salt, if that matters.

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
id be careful, i used regular (tap) water for my 2c-b and it got weaker and weaker over a couple weeks so i cant really help you.
but why not disolve in iso alcohol, measure out, evaporate, and then cap?
or if you just want to keep it as liquid, get one of those little water paint sets where each different color comes in a different tub and put it in there, thats what i did.
if your just keeping it to yourself, plastic container and a syringe is all you need.

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
Don't you mean dissociation ;) We're not going through any membranes here. :)
I'm not too familiar with methods of measuring mg doses w/o an accurate scale. But I believe there's a way to do it w/ a known volume of water.
Maybe someone else can shed some light here...
Hmm..jello..tasty

it would be distilled water, and what happens over a couple of weeks isn't an issue to me. The 2C-B will be in my hands for several hours, and as long as it is equally potent then it's all good. I don't want to cap it like that, it would be rather time consuming. I would have to fill like 100 caps, and not to mention time lost from waiting for it to evap, yanno?
Most important part is that I need to know water at ~200F will not damage the 2C-B, can anyone help me out there?

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
It'll be funny when your family thinks you made jello for everyone.

I'm actually putting some 2C-B in a Dr. Pepper in my fridge that will have a note on it saying "DON'T DRINK MY FUCKING SODA." If somebody drinks it I will lawl.
I don't live with my family though, but there are often an ass of motherfuckers over at my house, so I imagine some dickhead is going to attempt to steal my soda at some point.

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
with two people, you could do over 100 caps, evaporation and all, in under 2 hours. make them while your watching tv or something, have a friend help you, jello is a bad idea.
evaporating doesnt take that long, some heat lamps and a fan blowing over them it wont take long.

Ohhhhhh, look at mr. scientist, with winks, smiley faces and all.
He isn't asking if the alkaloid salt will dissociate to a solvated anion and cation in the aqueous jello mixture - it's obvious it will. He's asking if it will mix thoroughly with the jello... if it will diffuse to reach an equilibrium concentration in the jello. You don't need a membrane for diffusion to occur.

if your serious, you fail. if your trying to be funny, you fail even harder.

That would be osmosis. Diffusion is just going from high to low [conc].

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
why jello?
evap the water into some sort of water soluble binder, scrape it up and crush it into a powder and cap it.

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
would injecting liquid jello into a capsule work?
if it did, then fuck that would be the easiest way of doing all this.
no worrying about how to carry around jello in the pocket, and no worrying about spilling powder anywhere.
although a pocket full of jello would be cool..

I almost made 4-ACO-DMT jello.
I found it to be a terrible idea in the end because it would ONLY cause my chem harm, and take only a little bit less effort (more novelty though)
I have found it is best to just get everything into capsules if you can.
The dilution/evaporation onto inert powder seems to be the best way of getting close to perfect results without a good mg scale.
Also, if you are going for novelty and easiness, try just dripping a 2c-b solution onto a few gingerbread cookies.

Re: Does Diffusion work in Jello?
What would be the best solvent to dissolve several grams of 2C-B HBr in? I was thinking everclear...
I've deserted the Jello idea, guess I'm just gonna have a highly concentrated 2C-B solution that I will drop on stuff, etc.

everclear sounds like a good idea, water would work too, but its probably more soluble in ethanol (anyone know for sure?)
if jello could be capped then its a fucking awesome idea..
can jello be put into capsules!?
