Default Melatonin and dreams

I've been taking various amounts of melatonin before I go to sleep for the last week and keeping a dream journal. Every night, I have intense dreams. In the morning, when I record the dream, a number of other similar dreams flood into my head. There are actual dream places that I've visited and sometimes revisit. I realized that some of my best memories are in good dreams.

Yeah keeping a log of things can be quite entertaining/enlightening. It seems to log unconscious events pretty well, I feel like I can sense a bit of this in waking life too, like when certain images are being "downloaded" and might appear later in terms of it's archetypal significance.

I doubt every little thing that happens has significance, much like in waking life, but anything that gets your mental gears turning is good. Since starting to keep journals of my thoughts I seem to have become a better organized and more "lucid" person in a good way.

I had a similar effect when i started taking it but for me the effects wore off after a few weeks of taking it every night.

But hands down the best dream drug ive ever taken was XANAX.......holy shit some of the craziest most vivid dreams
