So a friend quit taking his medication last friday and now where thinking of taking some mdma (crystal).
I'm a bit worried because I know you can't take mdma with them.

So my question is : How long should he wait to take mdma.

depends on which antidepressant, they all have different half lives. i took it with zoloft and just experienced drastically reduced effects... pretty sure thats common but I would look into it further were I you.

Nothing bad will happen to him, it will just be alot weaker. SSRI's block the serotonin that MDMA puts out (in laymans tersm, i am tired of explaining the process and im drunk right now.)

i repeat, i recall some antidepressants CANNOT be mixed with MDMA. It's imperative you find out which one he is on. If he's on an SSRI, thats one thing, but if its a tricyclic or MAO inhibitor its a totally different story.

the depletion of serotonin he will experience on the comedown probably will cause to him to lapse back into depression for atleast one or two days.

Or longer depending on how much control he actually has over his depression. An MDMA come down after a sweet night could make him feel like shit.

As previously stated if it's an SSRI you'll probly just get reduced effects and less high. If it's a MAOI and or trycillic he may get his life pwned.

He used to take sipralexa wich should be a SSRI so i geuss it's safe for him to take mdma in a month :)
