So fucking homesick....
It's actually starting to hurt. My one friend's birthday was tonight, so he and some other friends called me and said it wasn't the same without me. I mean... All gay jokes aside, we fucking love each other. We've always been a closely knit group. We hang out almost daily. I literally started crying a little bit knowing that after I visit them in February, it's just gonna be back to the same old thing.
I'm starting to think that maybe friends, or even just your roots in general, are the most important thing in life. I grew up there. My friends are there. Most of my family is there!
I miss my mom, and my sister and brother. Especially my sister!
Fuck.
I don't think humans are meant to deal with this kind of separation! I need to find a way back there. I can't handle this anymore. I don't care if I'm stuck with a minimum wage job or some crap, I just need to be back home.

Re: So fucking homesick....
How far away are you from them?
I started to get like that before christmas, I just had to start going home at the weekends because if i didn't I would become severly depressed. One of my main problems is that I am very picky on people I let become close friends. So I dont really have a very strong network of people I can fall back on when I am feeling low. When this happens I just want to return to old friends.
I have made it even worse because I have become involve with a girl back home.
I am completly distracted from normal life just now because of exams. It is quite good, except from having to do exams!!!

Re: So fucking homesick....
It's always best in that place where we are not at the moment. If you go back now you'll feel good for a short while, then after a short while thing will start to piss you off and you'll start thinking how good it was in that other place a thousand miles away.
It's always like that and always will be. If I were you I'd go visit your friends and family, but won't stay there for too long.

Re: So fucking homesick....
You'll get used to it. Go get to know some new people.
You're growing up. Roots are important, but you grow. Of course you're going to miss people, but that's why you visit. Moving back isn't the best idea.

*calculates*
I moved 4611 km (or 2865 miles)
And as for making friends here... Then I'll miss people wherever I go! :(

Re: So fucking homesick....
hmm. I moved over 1000 miles away, and I never miss home. Not like I had a bad home life either - I've never seen my parents fight, we all get along great....
Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, eh?

Welcome to life.
People come and go, you learn to need to accept change otherwise you're gonna lead one hell of a boring life. If you don't leave, then they likely will in their own time but doesn't mean you still can't be friends, and real friends will stay that way no matter the distance.
There's more out there to experience so don't limit yourself because you're scared of saying goodbyes - because there's gonna be plenty that you have no choice in.
I moved to a different city form all my friends and family at 17. It's really nice to have expanded my relationships, and now I have great new friends here, as well as my high school friends back home.
In about 18 months I'm moving to the UK, and again I will have to say goodbye - but you can only think of the positives - the great new people I'll meet and the experiences I'll gather from it. I'd say its worth that bit of pain.

Re: So fucking homesick....
I miss my mother. I miss being her son. As crazy as I was I guess wasn't much of one. Sometimes I miss her so much I want to hop on the next jet. I get lonely but I ain't that lonely yet.

Wow. Where'd you move from/to?
I wanted to go to college in the US, and didn't care for the loneliness part.
Instead I went to Belfast :(

Re: So fucking homesick....

*insert exposo joke*
But seriously, I have never dealt with homesickness, as I have never been away from home for more than a couple of weeks, and even that is always to visit family that live in California. Although I will probably get fairly homesick occasionally when I graduate high school, as I'll be enlisting in the Marines, and my family lives in a landlocked state with no naval bases for hundreds of miles, so my chances of getting stationed close to home are nonexistent.
