Default embracing bad trips as good

ever since i did my first psychedelic i have never had a "bad" trip. (6x acid (3 hits) 2x shrooms (1/8 each) 6x salvia( all 20x)) but yesterday on salvia (#6) i had my first "bad" trip. i was falling out of reality and my friends were yelling at me when really i was just on the ground spazzing so they yelled. when i was freaking out through, i did my best to embrace the "bad" trip. i looked at it as a challenge to beat and tried not to give in to astonishment. in the end it was the scariest time of my life, but i embraced my "bad" trip so that in the end it turned out good. i feel that most trips can be interpreted into a good trip by perspective. what are your thoughts on this psychedelic totsians?

Roll with the fucking punches or let it completely shatter your mind set and overwhelm you. I mainly have what people call bad trips, but I can either turn them around in some way or at least have fun learning about the crazy shit locked up in my head. Hell, I lost my fucking gender on 2c-t-7. It took me a good half hour of lying naked in my bathroom holding my balls to finally just say fuck it, it's just the drug.

Its amazing you managed to have enough control over your salvia trip to turn it around... all of my salvia trips have basically been me getting kicked out of the drivers seat of my mind by something and instead of controlling anything, im just in for the ride...

None of my trips have ever really been bad. ive had trips where i was a little bit paranoid and cynical, not difficult to deal with just not easy....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_therapy
Cognitive Therapy (CT) is a type of psychotherapy developed by psychiatrist Aaron T. Beck in the 1960s. Becoming disillusioned with long-term psychodynamic approaches based on gaining insight into unconscious emotions and drives, Beck came to the conclusion that the way in which his clients perceived and interpreted and attributed meaning—a process known scientifically as cognition—in their daily lives was a key to therapy.[1] Albert Ellis was working on similar ideas from a different perspective, in developing his rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT). Beck initially focused on depression and developed a list of "errors" in thinking that he proposed could cause or maintain depression, including arbitrary inference, selective abstraction, over-generalization, and magnification (of negatives) and minimization (of positives). Cognitive therapy seeks to identify and change "distorted" or "unrealistic" ways of thinking, and therefore to influence emotion and behaviour.

let it completely shatter your mind

..you will emerge a better person, and the next day (considering you go to sleep after your trip is over) will be the most beautiful day of your life.
