Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
I heard somewhere, I think Youtube.
That vaping weed is better than Just smoking it.
Any truth on this? I think I'm going to give it a try.

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
It's better for you, but not as sexy as smoking...
In terms of a better high? Well, I hear it uses less weed and gets you more fucked; still, nothing can beat a nice doob... :)

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
If you want to try it, just google lightbulb vaporizers. They're pretty easy to make.

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
The highs are actually different, IMO.
I don't really get 'stoned' from vaporizors. I get high. It seems to be a more subdued, clear headed high. And you definitely use less weed.

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
I find vaping to be totally superior to smoking.
It's healthier for you (no sore throat/lungs), hardly smells at all (can get baked in your room without your parents knowing,) conserves weed, and is a much more energetic, clear-headed high.
You still feel euphoric, happy, and relaxed, but you feel more motivated to do things like cleaning/homework. Since it is more clear-headed, you will actually be able to succeed at such tasks!
And then there are those who say smoking is just more fun. Well, I find the sight of THC mist swirling around inside a lightbulb, shaking it *just so* as to release it at the right morning before taking in the sweet taste of freshly cut herb to be just as, if not even more interesting than sparking a bowl.
The only 2 disadvantages I can see:
1) Lighter fluid consumption: You will use a shitload of butane. A Bic will still last for several bake sessions, but you will go through them quicker. Alternatively, use a candle to heat the vaporizer to conserve.
2) Portability: A joint is MUCH easier to conceal, carry, and dispose of/hide than a lightbulb.
That's my two cents, anyways. I still smoke a lot, but vaping definitely has its merits.

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
Smoking > Lightbulb Vapes
Vaporizer costing atleast $150 > Smoking
Once you start vaping (properly) you won't be able to go back to smoking. If you ever get the chance to use a Volcano or another nice vaporizer regularly, you will understand.

When I used a vape it smelled just as much as a joint would. Did I do it wrong or something? (Lightbulb vape)

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
Does anyone else get a pain in their throat when they vape? Smoking doesn't cause me any problems, but when I vape I get a strange cold sort of burning feeling in my throat, at about my adams apple. It's really weird. Once I just decided to ignore it and kept going, a few minutes later breathing was very painful, it felt as if I had inhaled powdered glass. It slowly died down and was gone in about 15 minutes.

Yea all vapes do this to your throat. I think it is because the vapor is so dry.

I ditto this.
But since it's from a dude named after bone thugs, maybe it's just placebo left over from my non-stop blunt smoking days. Damn you hip-hop!

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
ive had my HerbalAire vape for about a week now and am in love. it instantly replaced smoking for me.
the taste, the high itself, the amount of weed used, the [lack of] smell, the inhaling, the time it takes, the clean up, the length of the high, etc. its ALL better.
and crimsonsmoke, sure vaping is just as if not more sexy. watching the bag fill up with loads of vapor and then huffing the whole bag into your lungs and blowing out nothing...its pretty nice. hell, half the time my dick grows right along with the bag ;)

Re: Vaporizing vs. Smoking..
I got a vaporizer with part of my tax return 2 years ago.
From using it, I can conclude that it is in fact cleaner, yet I seem to always get more high when I use my bong.
I'm looking into selling it now, but I might keep it just in case I actually want to use it.
