Excellent weight training information...
I posted this in another thread a few weeks ago, but I'd like to make sure people have read it. It's a goldmine of information and will really get you going as far as weight training goes. It's helped me significantly. I'd consider it a no-bullshit resource, anyone who frequents the bodybuilding.com forums may have seen this anyway, I'm sure it's in a sticky somewhere, but I found it whilst searching for Rippetoe's Starting Strength, which is an excellent book, the guy who runs this site even put a link up to the book on the site. He isn't getting commission, he just likes the book.
Website - http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/index.htm
There are a lot of pages on that site, lots of links, check the table of contents link, a few different programs and lots of information, spreadsheets available to download as well.
Training Primer (essential to read) - http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow...ing_Primer.htm
"If you are on this site or considering any of the above programs. You need to read this. Bottom line. It provides a good overview on training for size vs. strength, efficiency in programming for adding muscle, overtraining, fiber recruitment, different types of hypertrophy."
Anyway, I hope this all helps you out, I'd like to see this stickied but we'll see what the moderators think.
Cheers,
twinrage

awesome resources dude. thanks. Seems like no matter what I read, I can learn more from reading other peoples guides and sort of putting them together to get the best out of them,as confusing as i put that.

Re: Excellent weight training information...
Does anyone know where I could find a free version of Starting Strength?
Or something similar?

Check the archives on t-nation.com, as there are some pretty cool articles from yesteryear. Take it all with a pinch of salt though. You've got to watch out for bullshit and stay clear of the tmagnum forums.
Keep adding to the thread as well, it's full of good sites so far.
Here's another:
http://www.ironsports.tv/ - Thanks to pyschojoe for this one, some really good stuff on this site, theories/ideas anyway, maybe worth a look to most of you.
