I want to get a 'herbal vita-press' sometime in the future, they aren't too expensive, and I would likely use it often. (not only for psychoactives)

With good technique, a full pill press with high-quality output can be had for under ten cents.

Well, if it's the usual, and your needs are "to rapidly fill thousands of gelcaps," yes. Otherwise, not quite...

Yes. Only way to go without blowing $10,000+. I made a pill press modification for my BP press, and it cost me about $75. Thats excluding the price of the BP press.

Also, if you need to ask, you aren't prepared to do it, and shouldn't be fucking with RC's. First, focus on a .001g scale.

use gel caps.
their was some guide i read a while back about capping RC's which seemed pretty good, this is what i remember:
mix substance with 99% alcohol, and measure it all out like you would when diluting it with water.
put each dose on the bottom side of a soda can, and leave it out for all of the alcohol to dry off
mix with kool aid, sugar, etc as a filler and put in capsules.
this would work right?
im mainly just a bit concerned over the alcohol somehow degrading/fucking with the chemical, and the amount of time it would take for all of the liquid to evaporate.

dont bother with pneumatics and hydraulics unless you wanna crank out buttloads of pills.

if you have a bench vice you can make a single press with only a tube and two dowel pins (one short and one long) that fit inside. you fill the tube with the powder, insert dowel pins into each end and then crush as hard as you can (you might wanna replace the tensioning bar with something longer for more leverage). with this setup you can easily crank out 100+ pills in an hour

it's especially discreet, and won't land your ass in prison when you get busted. for an even more decorative product you can put a drill point on each end of the dowel pins to make the pills come out semispherical.

BUT, I am not worried about pumping out 500+ pills a day or anything.

I just figure, since the vit-presses are so cheap, it would be convenient to have for pressing my RC's, not necessarily for sale, but just novelty, and safety of my chems, also, I tend to share my drugs with people a lot. And, of course it makes it more convincing and 'legit looking' for if I sell a few doses of something, and since I can use the dilution/pop can method (which I have know about some time, but thank!) I would be able to dose out single pills at a time, press them, and move onto a new pill. (I have a lot of time to waste haha and don't mind spending a few hours making a couple of dozen pills... I find it all quite fascinating.)

^ instead of weighing each dose, mix up a bunch of the drug with how much binder you wanna use per pill and fraction it out. just make sure its mixed real evenly (like with a mortal and pestel) so you don't have oddball dosages. this is how the industry does it, and it works just fine.

I have heard this from many places, and there is a reason that mortar an pestles are used, and I totally believe it.

However, I am un-decided on what would be best for me?

There is no way I would be pressing more than 100 pills at a time, I am no "husslaa!" I am just into getting a couple dozen doses and trading/sharing between friends, hanging out and having a great time.

The dilution/evaporation per single dose, and adding binders/fillers would probably work best for pressing single pills... I understand that the industry uses the motar/pestle method because it works, BUT, I am afraid I am not confident enough to dose drugs that way, and then hand them out to people I care for... I really like to know exactly what I am taking, and those I care for are taking.
