Seratonin Syndrome
I recently tried E for the first time and then did it again four days later and I'm planning on doing it three days after the second time. But I was wondering will this cause SS? and if so is it permanent? Because I plan on not doing it again for a few months so would that be okay or should I not do it? XCould it cause permanen injury?
Also would doing with alcohol be a bad idea?
Cheers,

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
From my understanding it would take a lot more drug abuse than that to cause SS. Also drinking wouldnt be the worse thing to happen to you, lots of people say its a horrible thing but i've personally never popped E sober and I have done quite a bit. It just takes good monitoring of yourself to decide when you really do need to slam back some water.

I know someone who took 500mg Zoloft in an impulsive suicide attempt. SS seems to be somewhat benign for these kinds of cases in the majority of people. All they did was make them eat charcoal.
OP, you'd have to be abusing MDMA alot to get SS.

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
Being on SSRIs would increase the possibility but I don't think X is that bad for you on them. DXM and SSRIs absolutely do not mix from what I hear.

NO NO NO bad advice. I know someone on SSRIs and their physiologist specifically told them not to take MDMA/ectasy; this was the only drug that they specified not to take.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin_syndrome#Drugs_which_may_contribute
Wikipedia says not to.
Erowid too, but as a reduced effect, but still fucking stupid

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
Umm all that says is MDMA has a reduced effect on SSRIs, not that its particularly dangerous or anything.

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
MDMA is absorbed into the neuron in the same way that serotonin is absorbed through reuptake.
so if you are on a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor the MDMA cant get into the neuron to get you high.

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
I'll wait and see what my friend's physiologist says, I think they're seeing them this week (they see them only once a month though, so I hope that I'm right).
I trust him or her more than my retarded google-searching "research".
EDIT: saves post spot.

Re: Seratonin Syndrome
I took e one night and when I was falling asleep I took my normal dose of seroquel and trazadone.I know seroquel is an ssri, but im not sure about trazadone.I went into serotonin syndrome and it was not pretty. Its almost like going into a siezure and tripping at the same time.I strongly advise against taking ssri's and mixing it with e.This was a very scary moment in my life.
