They do it for me..
I didn't have a good day today.. I was really anxious and a little depressed.. I don't really know why.. But, I knew I didn't know even the basic steps toward improvement..
I took a shower and put my jammies back on, I didn't really care too much to get dressed.
For whatever reason, I had a huge mental road block.
I had an asthma attack from the shallow breathing I was paying no attention to.
My thoughts had been racing all day. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt so low, and worthless? I don't know..
I went to pick up my babies from school, still very depressed. When I walked into my daughter's class room, she screamed with laughter and ran to me announcing to the entire facility, "Mommy's here! Mommy's here!" We gathered her belongings and put her jacket on her..
We went into my son's classroom to find a similar expression from him. He smiled and began bouncing and yelling, "Maaaa!"
On the drive home, I heard nothing but laughter in the backseat coming from my little boy.. I don't know what was provoking the laughter but I loved it.. Daughter sat in the front seat with me today..
She usually sits in the back, but today I wanted company.. I turned off the passenger airbag and strapped her carseat in the front next to me..
There was silence in the car for a good minute.. Then she leaned her head over and rested in on my arm.. She was rubbing my sleeve and kissing my hand.. And she said, "It's okay, mommy. I love you so much mommy."
I don't know how I could've ever been so upset earlier today.. Whatever it was seems so insignificant and minuscule.. It served as a reminder that life is and always will be beautiful..
I just wanted to share and see who, or what, does it for you?

Re: They do it for me..
Wow. I'm not nearly there, but when I'm in bed and I feel my girlfriend next to me and I squeeze her...that makes me happy and all my problems disappear.
I'm glad you have them in your life. Cherish them and make them feel as happy as they make you.

I get the same feeling with GuineaPigs.
Somehow they make me feel I have a purpose in life.

Re: They do it for me..
What does it for me.. hm. Holding hands, kisses that I turn away from and end up on my cheek, and when someone rubs or just touches my legs.
And, in a different sense, my two little siblings. Little ones can really brighten up a day. :)

Re: They do it for me..
I know what you are talking about. I'll never forget when my son was just born (not that long ago, either), I was holding him for the first time and he reached out and grabbed my thumb. I'll never forget that overwhelming emotion that swept over me.

Re: They do it for me..
Yeah... I'm undecided on kids. I hate other people's kids. I hate most people though... I don't know if I'd really want to raise them. But if I don't do it, it won't get done right...
Eh, for now I've got bass. Bass does it for me.
