What's going to happen with the new laws?
I've been interested in smoking weed, but in Australia there are new road tests coming out. They pull you over like an alcohol test, except they scrape your tongue and are able to find if you've got marijuana in your system.
Is it true marijuana doesn't leave your system for days after you've smoked it? Because you could be completely sober and get fucked over if they find it in your system?
This is all what I've heard, I may completely wrong.

Re: What's going to happen with the new laws?
How long marijuana is detectable in your system depends on MANY things. Supposedly... if you smoke a LOT of weed, multiple times daily, for extended periods of time, even once you stop it's detectable for up to a couple months afterward. But for the most part, if you just take a couple hits every few weeks or whatever, I'd assume after a few days you'll be in the clear. As far as tongue scraping, I don't think it'd stay traceable there for very long... 24 - 48 hours at the very most, I'm assuming. But apparently, the tongue swab tests are pretty easy to pass, even if you've just smoked. Supposedly, if you just hold the swab in one place and pretend like you're moving it around, it'll come up negative no matter what. Also, I don't know what the laws are like there, but I'm pretty sure in the US they couldn't legally do what you're saying they are going to do... *shrugs* Hopes this helped some.

Yeah this helps. What do you mean pretend like you're moving around? I'm just wondering what kind of punishment you'd get for being caught.

Re: What's going to happen with the new laws?
To be totally honest, I couldn't even pretend to tell you what kind of punishments. I know nothing about Aussie laws... Sorry. But, if you keep the swab part in one spot on your tongue, and move your hand and the back part of the handle (to the swab) so it looks like you're moving it around, should fool most people. That's assuming of course that if they are doing what you say they are, that they give you the swab to rub on your tongue instead of just swabbing you themselves.
