Not being able to get drunk while sick?
I know this has been discussed before, but it just seems strange to me. I've been sick and on antibiotics for 5 days, and I decided to drink last night. I had 6-7 beers, and all it did was make me extremely tired, I didn't get that much euphoria or relaxation. The really strange thing is that this morning, I didn't even wake up with an achey head. It's like I'm in some sort of strange limbo zone: can't get drunk, can't get hungover, either. It's sort of pissing me off, but this has happened to me in the past.
Anyone else experienced this?

Re: Not being able to get drunk while sick?
I get real tired like you described if I drink while sick. I just figured I felt sluggish was because I was sick and probably dehydrated already. I find if I take oxycontin or cocaine before/while drinking I completely forget all my physical ailments and have epic drinking sessions.

Re: Not being able to get drunk while sick?
I'm sick right now, as in I have a cough and stuffy nose, my lung also has a bit of inflamation(not as sick as you obv). But I just had a few beers and i can feel it, but drinking whilst sick isnt as fun, I've never had problems besides feeling tired aswell as drunk.

It's the antibiotics, same thing happened with me (but I'm not sick, taking them for an abscess).

it really depends on the antibiotic, some reduce, some make ya sick, some don't work if you drink..

Yeah, that's what I'm starting to think, too. I can't wait until I'm off this stuff, it's driving me crazy!
