You have a POUND of dried psylcibin? Thats pretty impressive, and I wouldn't freeze them. Just make sure there in an air tight container, no moisture, and as another poster said in a dark dry place. Do not keep them for longer then you have too.

dude dried mushrooms stay good for quite some time, you could just get a large jar and put them in there and seal it airtight and you'd be set. no freezing necessary.

I'm guessing the op isn't a 12 year old who has to worry about his parents..soooo there's no reason to not take the extra precaution of chucking them in the fucking freezer. :)

I hypothetically purchased one for about $2400. Eighths go for $35-45 usually. I live in Maryland if anyone is wondering about my area. Interestingly, the guy I get it from gets his through the mail from a source he has in California and he gets a lot more than 1 pound. For shipping they put the mushrooms in a huge bag in a box filled with vaseline so no smell seeps through. All of this is hypothetical of course.

Read a few of those other guides too, a lot of people avoid freezers because there's a lot of moisture there, so be careful and learn beforehand.
