Girl with Boy
Alright, so there is this girl I like very much. We dated once, a few years ago. We are in high school now. She has a boyfriend, and has been with this guy for a long time. She has told me, and her best friend that the relationship with this guy is falling apart, and they've grown to be very different, however, she wont end it with this guy.
We hung out this weekend, and got to sort of holding hands and embracing (lame, i know, but i don't want to move on this girl when she has a b/f). She has told her friend that we are "practically soul mates." When we hung out this weekend she said a bunch of times "I love how you do this and that, its so cool" and comments like that.
She is insecure, and is very nervous about life in general. I think she is in this relationship for the security of it. Im not usually one for trying to separate people, but her relationship with this guy is not working, and we have definite chemistry.
I think that im just going to straight up ask her what the deal is. If she doesn't want to break it off, im going to abandon ship.
What is your advice &totse ?

Re: Girl with Boy
Sounds like it would be pretty easy for you to manipulate her into breaking up.
I would recommend waiting until she has desided for her self though.

Re: Girl with Boy
Worst title ever.
You mentioned the right idea in there, don't make moves till they're split, that's about it.

This. Don't manipulate her, it's just not the right thing to do. If it's falling apart, it's falling apart. It will happen sometime, so just sit back and wait.
As a side note, good to see you back Tommy.

Second rule of TotSE dating: there is no girlfriend, either. You're on your own, again, brother.
Or, you know... A more serious answer. Ooh, yeah, that. That sounds good. Let's go with that one.

Re: Girl with Boy
Keep doing what you're doing mate. It sounds like it's working well. However you may want to up the volume a little, i.e. make a few more moves...Not too forward, mind you but subtle moves to let her know you like her.
Sooner or later she'll realise she has another ship to jump onto and leave the old one to sink.
