I almost never use cute, but it's in the same context as pretty. Sexy and beautiful have more to do with bearing than anything else. For example, I consider Uma Thurman extraordinarily beautiful, even though she's only somewhat above average if you're just looking at a picture.

I reserve gorgeous for special occasions, like if she's wearing a fancy and sexy dress.

I think I would rather be called pretty than hot. I don't think it's that hard for a girl to be considered 'hot.' There's tons of girls out there that I think are average/ugly but for some reason or another (usually a smokin' bod) guys think they're hot. Pretty seems like more of a thoughtful and sincere compliment to me.

I've been called stunning once. That made me feel pretty nice.

If I walk out the door trying to look hot, well then I'd want to be called hot. Any other day, pretty will do. "Hot" kind of overwhelms me when I'm not trying. I normally fall into the cute category, anyway.
