Default Ayahuasca

Ok this is the report of my first experience with this wonderful brew:

I fasted for 3 days before drinking the brew, all I ate was boiled potatoes and boiled broccoli, one the day I didn't touch any food at all to be on the safe side.

I took about 3.5 grams of rue crushed in grapefruit juice, as for the brew I used half oz. of yellow caapi, half oz. of Virola that was previously put in acidic water to help extraction and about 8 or 9 grams of mimosa.

I reduced the brew to about 80 ml or something like that and drank it very slowly over the course of a couple of hours while watching Apocalypse Now, by the time Marlon Brando was taking about the Horror I was seeing patterns on his face and the ending part of the film proved to be quite intellectually stimulating.

After the film I started to peak, I couldn't recognize my room, everything seemed to be bigger than usual and my hands lookes like ET's.

I seemed quite passionate about trashing my room as much as I could, I didn't do it in an angry way though it was more like the aya turned me into a 2 year old and I was just playing around in my room, throwing things around laughing by myself.
I was in that state for about two hurs then I came down, then I came up again but not to the same level and I tripped more for about another two hours, then I took some kratom and passiflora and just lied in bed relaxing until I fell asleep.

Overall it was an amazingly positive experience, from many of the reports that I had read, I expected something darker and scarier, but it was really funny and pleasant.

I didn't have any enlighting visions, I kept on getting childhood memories and other random things in my head, now I can't wait to do it again, next time I plan on using around 15 grams of mimosa and twenty grams of virola and see what happens.

After years of experimenting with other psychedelics, I think I finally found the perfect one, dosing is not really that hard as long as you reduce the brew to a drinkable amount, the nausea can be pretty bad but if you fast you'll manage to keep it down, it doesn't last a lot and anyway if you come down and you still want to trip more you can always have another sip of the brew.

As far as intensity, the only thing that goes close to it is liquid acid, but still the aya visuals had more depth, and I really had the feeling I was in another reality for a few hours, as in me being trasported to another place as opposed to being here but with distorted perceptions which is what I always got from acid, the feeling that I'm just perceiving reality in a different way, with the aya I was in another parallel reality.

If any of you is interested I can give you tips on how to brew it, just be careful though and respect the dietary prescriptions since it does contain MAOIs.

Later, stay safe!!

Oh come on you guys you're letting me down, I bet if I'd made a thread on how to get high off cough syrup and washing products this topic would have like two pages already!
Is the level here really that low?

Lower. :(

I've had no expereince with the brew, but I would suggest looking into meditation and self-induced trances before the next time and try to incorporate something like that into the expereince.

Thanks for the replies guys, it's really not hard to brew, it takes some time though, it's not something you can just prepare on the moment, and you need to be careful not to waste any of the ingredients since they're not that cheap.

That's an interesting effect... I always love that since the feeling is often so fleeting. You have some balls watching Apocalypse Now coming up on Aya, I love the movie and watched the end while coming down on ACO-DMT, but yeah different stuff.

At least a few people here will be interested to hear how your "big-brew" goes, definately post that shit.

you pretty much just need to avoid meat and cheese for a couple days. the danger of MAOI interaction is exaggerated. a handful of people have died, but look at how many people are taking MAOIs then think about how many people are fucking stupid. if eating something as common as meat or cheese could kill you then a lot more people would be dead. but it doesn't, it just gives you a bad headache and a caffeine like buzz.

Nice "trip report" i guess i can say. I read about ayahuasca two years ago and was really intrigued. Though lsd and lsa are the only two psychadelic drugs i've been on, it has always been in the back of my mind to try something different. But with the same effects.

Send me an email.

So about 3 days before hand and 3 days after should be good?

As far as the dieting goes, one thing to keep in mind is that all the warnings you find on the net concern pharmaceutical MAOIs, both Rue and Caapi provide reversible MAOI so the risk of fatal interactions is much lower.

Anyway the dietary restrictions only apply for the 24 hours preceding the trip, I kept myself light, I barely fasted for 3 days, just eating boiled potatoes, spinach and broccoli, and I didn't touch any solid food on the day I dosed.

As far as the material go, there's quite a number of websites you can get them from, I don't know about the legalities in each country, but Aya is quite unheard of, so most plants are not banned.

Thanks for the replies again, nice to see people here like tripping!

Ok as far as the brewing goes what I did is the following:

3.5 grams of Syrian Rue were crushed in a mortar into a fine powder, you can toast the seeds in a pan before and it'll be easier to crush them, then they were put in a glass with some grapefruit juice and left in the fridge.

For the brew, the half oz. of caapi, the Virola and the Mimosa were left to sit overnight in a pot covered in cold mineral water with the juice of one and a half limes.

The next day I boiled this 3 times, then discarded the plant material, all of the 3 washes were collected together and reduced to a drinkable amount of about 80 ml.

I then put the liquid to cool down in the fridge.

For the trip I drank the rue with grapefruit juice, waited about an hour and then I started sipping the brew gradually to avoid nausea.

Hope this helps those who asked me to drop them emails, a starting dose of mimosa would around 9 grams, like I did, some people would tell you to use less for your first time, but there's a chance you might throw up or do something wrong in the brewing process so I guess it's better to prepare a bit more.

Later, stay safe

Any plans to try and extract n,n-DMT from similar sources, in future? Sounds like Ayahuasca is pretty strong, and intense, but not in the same way as the "real" smoked DMT experience... which i gather is almost beyond tripping, really. I don't really subscribe to the view that everything you experience in this "other dimension" is real. That said, I do think it's fascinating how such experiences can shape a person's mindset and their attitude to their life, reinvigorating their passions n enthusiasms, or just changing a few things they were so "sure" about before.

Ayahyasca sounds like a good place to start though, and its got a more "ritualistic" reputation, South American tribes used to do it as a group ritual, and I remember hearing that even kids took part... t'was a right of passage. Better than having tons of yopo powder blown up your shnozz, anyway! :p

Good trip report anyway man. I'm not really feeling up to any trips at the moment, after basically getting my ass/mind totally kicked by ketamine and high-dose mushrooms... I need a while to recover! Sounds interesting though, especially as the ingredients are legal... so when i do feel like a trip in future, I may give it a try after mescaline.

Cheers, damn right some people here appreciate slighly more stimulating tales of "getin fukd urp!" ;)

One of the things I really liked about it was that with the fasting and the preparation it was like the trip was more meaningful, I mean I prepared for it, it took me time to brew the concotion so I was in a different mindset from my usual trips.

That's why I reckon it was more meaningful, I mean I munched down shrooms in HMV in Oxford street just walking around, I dropped acid and then went to Macdonalds, in this case I was a bit more committed.

As far as extractions go, I don't trust my chemistry skills, so I guess I'll stick to the brew.

I've tried aya twice now, and neither time got much from it, maybe it was bunk material, I took my time and fasted and everything. I did try an experiment with my left-over half ounce of rue seeds, it was quite intense, I kept seeing what seemed like portraits of my family and friends when I closed my eyes. I purged a lot though, felt great afterwards. Walking was nearly impossible.

I would really like to hear more about how you brewed your aya and where you got your materials, as I would love to experience the DMT, I have been researching it for quite some time and love love a complete death/rebirth experience that I read about sometimes. It sounds like you got it right, but need to add some more dmt to get to the try aya visions.

sorry i didnt see your post about prep earlier
