Now I know they say thet once addicted you can't really get high off of suboxone and everything. But if I were to quit and just go through W/d with out any bupe will I be able to catch a buzz off of it. I also have noticed I only need up to 2mgs a day insulfated to hold me off. If I were to double that dose would it have any extra effect beside nausea?

You definitely need to slowly work your way off. From what I hear Bupe withdrawals are VERY intense. I doubt a few days after stopping use you'd be able to get high from it. Unless maybe you were going to main line it or something. (WHICH I'M NOT RECOMMENDING!) If I were you, I'd work my way off of it by slowly tapering down. Then, I'd save whatever I had left for a couple months, then give it a shot. From what I hear it's possible to get a fairly nice high from Bupe, but there are definite restrictions/requirements. The Bluelight forums should be back open before too long, I'd suggest asking the people there, as they are generally more knowledgeable then the people here. Hope this helps.

bupe WDs are easy, nothing like dope or methadone. and you can catch a buzz from suboxone if you don't use it daily. i'm on sub now and even being on it regularly i occasionally sit down to relax and catch a heavy eyelid nod feeling, but no high with it. even with no tolerance, while it'll get you quite high, it doesn't have the same euphoria of a full agonist.

and snorting it does no better than taking it sublingually as you're supposed to. i actually prefer it sublingual.

edit: i also used bupe for three or five day kicks when i was on heroin, and it worked wonderfully, but you have to wait until you're in withdrawal then take a dose titrated to your habit, then you can wean rather quickly.

I agree! I'm currently on them and I can't stand it. I'm slowly weaning myself off. I'll be at 4mgs come tomorrow, down from 6. I take the pills each morning. 4 days later, it'll be 2mgs and 4 days after taking that, I'll be off.

My one concern is that will I have wds after being weaned off like that?

naloxone doesnt effect the bupe because of the short half life of naloxone and the high receptor affinity of bupe. So it wouldnt matter if it was suboxone or subutex.

Right, the nalaxone in the Suboxone formulation is nothing more than a scare tactic. When it was first formulated, "they" (pharm company) thought that it would deter abuse but as it turns out, junkies aren't as gullible as they would like to think.

Buprenorphine has a higher affinity to the mu-opiod receptors than nalaxone does, thereby rendering the nalaxone pointless and ineffective at any dose of Suboxone used by any route of administration. If you take bupe and experience precipitated withdrawals, you're experiencing that due to the buprenorphine itself, not the nalaxone.

Anyway, to the OP: I too am on 2-4 mg of suboxone (sublingually) per day and I can tell you from experience that you're not going to catch a buzz from a higher dose. Once you develop any sort of tolerance to opiates or buprenorphine itself, you quickly lose the ability to "get high" off of it.

There are much, much better opiates/opiods out there to get high off of anyway...buprenorphine is best used for its intended purpose IMO

In my experience, bupe isn't the greatest recreational opiate. It doesn't have the euphoria many of the other types do, and the high feels a little dirty and ugly.

If you double your dose, you should be able to accomplish some sort of good feeling. Give it a try and see what happens. Noone here will really be able to give you a definative answer because we don't know your tolerance, body weight, and rate of use. Just doing some experimenting.

Well I had a tolerance of 100-200mgs of mscontin a day. Then i started doing h. But I didn't have enough money to do it everyday. I would just do .2-1 gram with another person(smoked) about 3-6 times a week. Like I said I only need 2mgs of bupe to feel good and hold me off. So my tolerance is not bad. I weigh 170 lbs.

But I am just going to use what I have to wean and maybe save a little for after.
i guess since I am trying to kick dope, trying to get high off bupe would be counter-productive.
