ive done weed maybe like 15-20 times in my entire life, and the other day it had a really strange effect on me. everything felt like it was too normal. i thought weed was supposed to enhance everyday things, you know. but, everything felt so worn out like i know everything about a certain object i was looking at too well....i dunno, however you describe normal, but the extreme of it, even though that makes no sense. ahhh...anyways, has this ever happened to anyone?

1.) Yes, this happens when you build up a tolerance and smoke the same amount of weed as you have for the past xx days. You don't get as high.

2.) This also happens when you smoke extremely shitty weed. It's less potent per weight. Again, you don't get as high.

3.) You didn't inhale.

4.) You smoked moldy green tea.

Pick one. My guess is 2 or 3, though it could be 4. You never know with kids these days.

Can weed cause a psilocybin flashback? Basically I smoked for the first time in like 2 months and in between that time, I shroomed. For like 15-30 minutes I felt like I'd taken a low-dose of mushrooms.

I would agree that a positive or negative world-view is a choice.

True, although life can sometimes seem to stack the deck against you... I've lived a typical sheltered suburban lifestyle, so I don't get alot of that. I can only say that in my limited experience, happiness is a relative thing that depends on how you react to the largely metaphorical stimuli that is society. I like Terrence Mckenna's view on the subject, paraphrased he basically said that culture always tells you that you're marginalized, not important, just one cog in the gear-box etc... Well even if you have $100 million Fortune Magazine will still tell you that 1000's control similar wealth, and your measly stock portfolio would get dominated by Bill Gates' or Ted Turner's.

The question is happiness relative to what, the bum on the street? Or the CEO of a multinational corporation? The bum could panhandle enough for a 40 of Old English every day and be happy as a pig in shit, and the CEO could be wishing death on himself every day. The situation could easily be reversed too... If you live for a sack a day and a wank before bedtime, and that's all you need at your particular station in life, more power to you!
