Causes of "relapse"?
I know most users have quit at one point in time or another, and some have started using again. If you would, share the substance, and reason/circumstances you started using again.
I have been clean of all drugs except nicotine and alcohol for a while now. (since my "im getting kicked out of the navy") thread.

Re: Causes of "relapse"?
umm i was a hardcore coke user, quit for a few months.. bought an eightball for the day i graduated high school to blow among 3 other friends. my coke binge continued from that night on for another week or so of eightballs on the daily. I dunno why i relapsed, i suppose just because it's an easy drug to get a hold of and i had a lot of graduation money and was in the party mood. haven't done any sense though (6+ months)

Re: Causes of "relapse"?
you waited until you got kicked out of the navy too quit? seems like a weird order of events.
being bored and around drugs will give you a chance to relapse quickly.

No, I quit doing detectable drugs before I joined, then they tried to send me to iraq. Wrong answer. I went and did some detectable drugs, told a known narc, and sure enough, got tested. Two months later I was on my way home with a general under honorable conditions discharge, and all my benefits intact. I'm one of the few that fucked the system before it fucked me. . .
On a side note, the doc that reviewed me before discharge almost had a heart attack when I named off the drugs I did while in the navy. (Many many many RC's, dxm, shrooms, lsd, lsa, practically everything but the NIDA 5.)

Re: Causes of "relapse"?
Well. I wass addicted to morphine and still am I suppose. I relapse because:
1. I want to get high
2. Im bored
3. I find school and studying more tolerable when on opiates
4.I crave it like no other

Re: Causes of "relapse"?
Yeah, If i had extra money to spnd like that ,I could see it happening. But the coke would come after the opiates and weed.
