depressing thread
ever feel like you just did some drugs on a bad day?
well, it's friday, and i was at a friends house, doing random/illegal (sorry for being so obscure) things, and found out that my grandfather had died.. i'm now home, reminiscing about old times.. today was a bad day for drugs, aside from the comforting effects of alcohol..
anyone have similar stories?
btw, i haven't posted in a while, but HELLO to anyone who recognizes me.

Re: depressing thread
Sorry about your gramps :(
You have to tell yourself that your drug/alcohol use had nothing to do with his passing away. Hold off on your use until you feel better; drugs/alcohol are supposed to make you feel good, not make you feel worse IMO. State of mind.
Peace.

Re: depressing thread
i had just finished smoking a blunt when i got a call from my sister, she was screaming about my parents finding my bong... needless to say i thought i was fucked... a couple minutes later i get a call from my mom, and she tells me what she found... this is the dialog that went between us...
"we found your bong"
"....yea"
"Its from the old stuff right?"
"yes"
"alright, don't stay out past curfew... we are going out of town for a few days"
then i got another call from my sister asking how the fuck i got myself out of that pile of shit i was in...
and of course i got home, smoked a bowl of headies... rolled a blunt of mids, smoked it... then rolled a dank blunt... and then smoked that..
that day turned out pretty well...

Re: depressing thread
not ur blog
Dude, I no-one here HAS to show sympathy, but his G-daddy just died man, and he found out whilst high, which does suck.
One time, I knew my dog was on his last leg, and figured he had a week or so to live, I did some hanging out with him and whatever, the usual stuff you do with your life long dog before he dies.
I later went out to a friends house, which was out of town.
Later, I got a call from my dad (my mom and dad didn't know I smoked weed at this time, so it was scary for me) and he asked if he should come get me, because the dog was getting put down that night.
I was way way too high to go spend the last few moments I had with my dog... it was really sad, and it bums me out... but there was and is nothing I can do about it.
Also, my grandfather had cancer, and he spent a month or so on a bed in my living room hooked up to a morphine pump, and getting fent everyday.
I knew it was close, and my mom made me say my goodbye's and I-love-you's... which he could not comprehend.
I went about 6-7 blocks away to go see a girl that I was falling in love with. We smoked some bongs in a garage and I was having a great time being with MY girl... then I got a call from my bad-news-barren-dad! who told me that my grandfather passed away as I hit the top of my street while I was leaving... which really hurt.
I didn't go home right away, I think I smoked an eighth of hydro to my own head while sobbing before I left.
Wow, this has nothing to do with death, but also, about a year or so ago, I did a fat line of K in my bedroom, and was just going to hang out and have some bongs... then my dad called me out of my room to tell me somthing, he told me that my youngest cousin (11) has just been diagnosed with the disease that killed our aunt (who is a splitting resemblance of the girl) in less than a year.
I think I cried for a full 3 hours... ketamine is very strange, it can make almost any emotion 10 fold.

Re: depressing thread
Stupid noob is right. Fuck your grandfather. None of us knew him so we couldnt give one crap about his passing. Keep it to yourself on a blog. Who cares you were high big fucking deal nothing to do with drugs whatsoever.
Edit: okay maybe that was a little too harsh. Im sorry your granddaddy died. The sad truth is (not trying to be sarcastic) is that..well we really dont know him , most or if not all the people dont want to hear about it here, espically in a "drug" forum. Im sorry for your loss, im sure your granddad was a great guy. Maybe in SG you can post a story or memories about him?
Edit: I do not speak for stupid noob. Meaning I do not know what he thinks and am not saying he said the above.

Hey, I wasn't saying anything either way about the content of his post. At all. I was merely pointing out that it doesn't belong here.

How so? Half of what's posted on Totse could qualify as "blog" material. If I closed everything, half this forum would be locked.
Anyway, to the OP: while your drug use might have not had anything to do with with his passing, you have to wonder if it affected your relationship with him? Speaking from personal experience, I wish I spent more time with my grandpa before he developed dementia, but I was busy doing "other things."

Re: depressing thread
damn man sorry to hear that. i was in a similar situation as the one guy whos grandpa went home to die. my grandmother had bone cancer and had hospice and my mother take care of her at her house till she passed. i could not stand seeing her like that. so i only went to visit like 3 times in the month she was there.
its tough shit to deal with but its a part of life every living thing on this planet dies its a part of life. everybody goes through some shit like that. but life has to move on its best to just remember the good times. thats what my grandmother told me to do the last time i saw her. dont worry about the other posters 70% of them are dildos anyway.

Re: depressing thread
Hell, if anything drugs'll help you keep your mind off of it (depending on which ones of course).
One time I was drunk off my ass in my friends back yard and all of a sudden my mom showed up (Note: I didn't tell her where I was and she didn't know the person's house I was at, extremely creepy).
Anyways, she told me I had to go visit my dad who I hadn't seen in four months. aparently while I was gone he had gone into a diabetic coma (didn't know he had it) and had just got out of the hospital. Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

Yea, I was driving home high and I decided to call my mom and we had our convo or whatever, so I was like "I'll be home soon" then she was like "Well.. no.. I'm in the hospital" That was quite a scare but it was fine.
