Quick Review:

I got it yesterday and played with it some last night after I got off work. So far it is awesome and I am pleased to say I'm quickly falling in love with vaporizing, since I was so nervous that I wouldn't like this "different, cleaner high" that I'd been hearing about. But it is awesome, the body high is intense. The bag system to me is just snazzy stuff too. Put a little dent in my wallet at $250, but I think that in the long run it'll pay for itself because it really does use a lot less weed than smoking does. It's really small too. At 7 inches tall I can put it in my sock drawer standing up and fuhgetaboutit. The pump is a little bit noisy when it's on when using the bag system, but it's not too bad and it's not like you have to use it anyway. This is the first and only vape I've used but from what I've read it seems like the way to go, unless you have the money for a Volcano. And even then the HerbalAire would still be a good choice as it has more jets and gets more out of the weed than even the pricey Volcano apparently. For those of you who've tried this and/or others, what are your thoughts?

QUESTION:

I've been using temps from about 370 to just under 400 and it does the job, but I really don't know what the difference is and what is best. For those of you who have this vape or other ones, what are the best temps to use? Why? What sort of different effects do they give, if any?

IMO, 400 is optimal.

It just seems like that is overdoing it. I figured it'd be more...vapor-y. It seems pretty much like smoke to me.

Do low-ish temps still work?

just try lower temps until you get the right amount of vapor for you.

try 300+ just go higher if you need more vapor.

375 is the best temp. for flavor. if you are a weed jew go up to 400 but no higher. i would rather put more weed in on a lower temp. and get a lighter more tasty vapor. i own a vapolution, a vapir one, and a volcano. ive used a couple others including the volcano rival, vapezilla. i can honestly tell you nothing is as good as the volcano. ive never tried the herbalaire but with the volcano i can fill a bag with so much vapor that it looks like smoke. 2 hits off that bag and you are stonnnnnnned no matter how much you smoke. also with the volcano it has a feature that detects combustion. even if you turn the volcano to 450 degrees the weed will not burn (it will be harsh ass vapor though).

Also if anyone is looking for a vape for a good price, I recommend the vapolution for around $150. There are A LOT of shitty vapes that will waste your money such as the vapir one. But ive researched thoroughly and i think this is the best vape for under $200.

I got one a while back and I don't like it too much, I probably should've shelled out a little more. i paid 100$ for mine, and its a box with a digital temp. reading that you alter by pressing and up/down button. You hook a whip on the heating section and inhale. The temp constantly flucuates when I'm using it and the ganja constantly combusts on accident.

Yeah, if you want it to be nice and smooth, vape the bud at around 355 first, then vape it once more at around 375. If you want to get the most out of the bud though, 400 is the way to go. Afterwards, you can save up all the vaped shit and use it to make cannabutter.

optl, I can tell you from experience the Herbalaire is just as good as the Volcano, if not better. Plus you don't have to break up your buds like the Volcano. Many people have also tested the differences between the two, and their research proved the HerbalAire actually extracts more THC out than the Volcano.

Thats what my Vapir One does. And when it combusts it REAKS horribly. Every time the weed burned the entire floor smelled like burnt weed. I don't trust the cheap vapes because I feel like a could be getting plastic fumes or something.

Yeah, that was a sad waste of money. I've used it maybe 4 times since I got it 5 months ago. Overall I wish I had gotten a good bong, best way so far in my opinion.

i dont know about the bags that you have but after about 60-80 uses it will start to look nasty. just be careful not to pop the bag squeezing it trying to get a better hit, thats what usually finishes off the bags.

So just be really easy when handling the bags and maybe they'll last you a little longer then they did me. -I'm pissed though cause I have to order some extra bags now, but first I'm going to trying to make a some type of homemade bag using maybe a large Ziploc :) idk, I'm going to see.

Also I heard that you could still use the herbal aire without the bag by just simply using the nozzle, I've never tried it like this, I woul imagine the vapors to be hot when they directly release.. have you tried it without the bag yet?

Same here, it was either this or the volcano. And the reading I did on the HerbalAire made too good of a case to shell out any more money. I did get the VaporGenie with my order! I played with it a little. Seems pretty cool, but it'll be thrown aside until the novelty of the HerbalAire wears off a little.

I hope the bags last for me. Part of the reason I wanted a vape was to conserve weed and save money, but if the bags suck as much as you say then that money will just go to more bags. I was looking at them last night figuring there has to be a way to make your own. If you succeed please do make a post about it. Also I've seen on the sites that sell the thing also sell a metal valve or something for the bags I guess to replace the shitty plastic ones. Maybe that'd help your problem with them breaking?

I have tried it without the bag. But it just doesn't seem the same to me. It might just be in my head because it's so smooth it really doesn't feel like I'm getting anything, it feels like I'm doing something wrong heh. It does get me high though, but not as fast as huffing a couple of bags.

I don't know about the metal valve and if it'd make much difference, it's really the bag itself that is shit... what I would really like to do is get a quality replacement bag like the one used on the volcano and just replace the nozzle to fit the herbal aire..

Also aside from a better bag, they sell replacement whips like the one used on the vapor warez -which could be cool just to have and use once in awhile. But I agree, the bags are indeed the essential / main reason for getting this type of vaporizer.

hey man! im doing good now. finished rehab a while ago, stopped going to NA. i got a new job with better pay and im smoking weed only now and honestly have no desire to do meth or any hard drugs. not to say i wont ever do anything else again, but the need isnt there and weed does the job good enough. my focus right now is finding my own place to live. how are you doing?

If you want to make your own homemade bags, go to your grocery store, go to the plastic bag section and look for the oven bags. Oven bags are heat resistant so they are 100% safe. If you want a huge bag buy the oven bags for turkeys, they cost a dollar a bag.

am I the only one who got ripped off by the BC Vape? I put a .5 of some of the clubs best kush and I barely felt anything. Is there even a vape worse than the BC?

I also just received my HerbalAire. I bought it to conserve weed and am a little disappointed - it seems to have much less effect per unit mass than my lovely bong.

On the other hand, the high is cleaner and more pleasant. I may have to wait until I have some high quality weed to compare.
The HerbalAire is well constructed and I'm certain I'll be using it as my primary consumption device; it give me a cough and I can go right out for a run afterwards.
