it is all in the head... i have seen average marijuana tokers get shitty weed, while being told it is expensive

some quality weed does have light hints of citrus, wood, or earthy type aromas.....but that is like comparing fine wine to soda.

There are a few marijuana strains known to resemble bubblegum in smell and taste.

There's BOG's Bogglegum, named as such b/c it's supposed to taste like "real grape bubblegum." There's Bogbubble and Sour Bubble BX3 also. BOG's also got a few strains that are supposed to taste like candy.

Anyways, the point is, yes it's possible your friend got some bomb weed. If it smells great, the high is bomb, and it's covered in dank crystals chances are it's a legit strain and not just weed covered in tasty puff flavoring.

It's pretty amazing what marijuana breeders can do. :)

As someone else already mentioned, yes there are bubblegum strains that (surprise!) smell and taste similar to bubblegum. Is that so hard to believe?

"Crystals" is just a characteristic of dank weed, not so much particular strains. If your weed looks like it's covered in glitter/snow than it has a lot of trichomes which is good. :)

Though, the more you handle the weed w/ your fingers the more "crystals" you're removing.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it. If it's sticky-icky it's probably some good weed.

and what you mentioned is actual bubble gum.....you would not be able to cross bread those plants with marijuana...
