Ok so yesterday I insuffilated about 30mg of oxycontin after not doing it for a couple months. Please note that I've never been a hardcore user of opiates, just on occasion when my friend gets them. So all went well, no problems, until I woke up in the middle of the night and puked. Then all day today I've had flu-like symptoms associated with withdrawal. But it couldn't be withdrawal as I only took one dose yesterday... Is this common?

I remember feeling bad the next day when I was new to opioid(s), especially with OxyContin it seemed. So I would dare to say that no its not so uncommon. I also chalked it up to my body feeling sore from lack of receptor activity that was thriving a short period before, plus also feeling blue because your no longer feeling that opiated bliss. Its sort of like a pseudo-withdraw feeling IME, so yes IMO and experience 1 day OC use can cause very mild yet noticeable W/D symptoms.

Its common to puke, the coating fucks with alot of peoples stomachs. Usually though you feel fine after you puke.

Might be some kindof mild withdrawl symptoms but id think that would only happen if youve got low opiate tolerance.

Take it intraveniously. You'll probably still puke but you'll get a shitload more out of it.

I could never mainline anything... just can't bring myself to do it. It's cool though, for what little bit I do, other methods are fine.

Seems you're content but it's happened to me a couple times before too. I mostly get mad headaches. Doesn't happen much anymore though. Neither does oxy for that matter.

I forgot to add that I took some more a little bit ago and I feel fine now. Now hopefully since I didn't take as big a dose as yesterday, tomorrow won't be the same as today.

Thats horrible advice, you'll get strung out in a matter of days if you shoot up for a good 3-4 days...

At least my ass did/does, IV saves ya some in the beggening but makes the for the long run its not the way to go. If you can mainline and not do it often then wonderful, I myself can't seem to do that, me along with many, many, MANY other IV users.

Glad to see OP said he isn't going to go down that road, some things are better let unknown to us bro, with IV opiates IMHO tis better to have never known than to know and do without. Might sound like some B/S, and it might as well be, but its fucking true. At least I know its something I wish I could go back and not have gotten into...

For most people. Definetly not for everyone, i know a few people that get off better blowing them, but general consensus is that mainline is better.

And you're not nessecarily going to get strung out. I can hit it once, stop, and as long as ive got weed or cigs for the comedown im straight.

I dont think its the coating. Its the actual hemical oxycodone.

I find that whenever I do significant quantities (for me) of any opiate, I tend to wake up the next day off my game.

Usually, it's a slightly unstable stomach and chills, but sometimes it's headache and vomiting as well.

I do opiates reasonably often (A few times a month), but I don't believe I'm to the point where these are signs of true withdrawal.

That reminds me... I found a couple methadone in my pocket the other day. XD

last time i did oxy - the next morning i didnt get out of bed once. i was completely depressed and i've never been depressed before.. then i got out of bed later that night to check my mark on a 50% midterm i wrote and got an 86 on it, which gave me the boost i needed :P

anyway. moral of the story is.. oxy fucks with your physc.

Some people are just generally bad with opiates. I've got a couple of friends that ALWAYS feel sick, no matter how high they are or the dosage they took.

I, however, have only once gotten sick from opiates, and it was because the dosage was large enough that I puked, not just because of the fact that x amount of the drug is in my system.
