Absolutely true, especially considering I live in Canada. I wouldn't mind paying those taxes though if they ensured a safer practice. As is stands now, in a lot of places there are prospects for just too many unpleasant surprises.

I can't really see any reason that it should be taxed any more than any other industry. Currently it's a sort of sticky situation anyway you look at it, with the risks that come with having sex with some random person who has sex with many different people.
