Instantaneous death. Severe THC overdose is probably your BEST possible scenario.

Unless you want to be in a coma in a hospital, don't even eat a crum.

Wanna back that up with proof? Oh wait, here we go:

TOXICITY DATA: 666 MG/KG ORAL-RAT LD50; 482 MG/KG ORAL-MOUSE LD50; 525 MG/KG
ORAL-DOG LDLO; 29 MG/KG INTRAVENOUS-RAT LD50; 42 MG/KG INTRAVENOUS-MOUSE
LD50; 128 MG/KG INTRAVENOUS-MONKEY LDLO; 373 MG/KG INTRAPERITONEAL-RAT

Now, do you have any idea the actual amount of THC in any given strain of marijuana?

You pretty much have to eat your weight in weed in order to overdose, and even by the time you finished the last bite, the initial dosages would be long gone, so you would have to eat your own weight very quickly, and manage to stay awake the whole time to do it.

Impossible.

So stop saying you can overdose on THC.

Unless you happen to have a very rich friend who has very special connections, and you manage to get 20+ GRAMS of PURE THC (street value estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars) AND you were stupid enough to eat it all at once, then NO ONE is going to overdose on THC.

That shit that happened to that cop was just because he was a pussy dumbass lightweight fucking nooblet.

I dont mean overdose and die man. I mean take too much and get uncomfortable effects. As in taking over the dose you need to get high or good effects.

That shit happend to the cop because he took OVER THE DOSE he needed.

It may be impossible to od and die but it is very much possible to take too much and get uncomfortable effects.

A while back I was skimming through something on the web and I read that an OD of Marijuana would require the equivalent of 10,000 joints. Kind of obscure to me and I have no idea if it's true..but if I had the means i'd go for it. Not that i'd get even close before becoming a vegetable.

In scientific studies, the term 'overdose' is in reference to the LD-50. The LD-50 of a substance is the dose at which 50% of the experimental animals (people) die.

The LD50 value for rats by inhalation of THC is 42 mg/kg of body weight ... There has never been a documented fatality from marijuana or THC overdose.

Thanks wikipedia! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrahydrocannabinol)

This basically translates to: it is impossible to overdose on cannabis. You would have to inhale somewhere around 1500 pounds of pot with about 12% THC content ... within roughly 15 minutes ... to officially overdose. To die.

'Overdose' might be used commonly to refer to taking too much in the community of whoever wrote your definition, and among you and your friends ... but that is not the accepted definition.

Edit - Oh, and since this thread is about eating pot ... it would take much, much more to OD by eating it. The above was for smoking.

He is right, the accepted definition for OD is LD50. If you didn't take enough to die, you didn't overdose, it's called being a pussy dumbass lightweight fucking nooblet, not overdosing.

If overdosing were just simply taking too much to feel comfortable, well then every single motherfucker who has EVER done ANY recreational drug has overdosed at least once.

Also, just to throw it out there, if a person smokes a joint, and gets waaay to high, pukes, cold sweats, pass out etc, does that mean they overdosed? No, it means they are a lightweight. You don't take them to a hospital, because they are FINE.

Overdoses require medical attention. Being a pussy ass noob does not.

See the difference?

Too much money to be made through constantly repairing automobiles, oil and gas, rubber tires, etc.

And because a huge GM conspiracy destroyed the age of public transport and trolleys, and changed western culture to one based on the automobile. With our overly-large communities, we are basically dependent on some kind of transportation.

An amount of drug that is more than what should be taken at one time.

www.answers.com/topic/overdose?cat=healthDrug Overdose
A drug overdose is the accidental or intentional use of a drug or medicine in an amount that is higher than is normally used.

Description

All drugs have the potential to be misused, whether legally prescribed by a doctor, purchased over-thecounter at the local drug store, or bought illegally on the street. Taken in combination with other drugs or with alcohol, even drugs normally considered safe can cause death or serious long term consequences. Children are particularly at risk for accidental overdose, accounting for over one million poisonings each year from drugs, alcohol, and other chemicals and toxic substances. People who suffer from depression and who have suicidal thoughts are also at high risk for drug overdose.

EATING POT DOES NOT GET YOU HIGH

And is probably safer then smoking as there are no chemicals burned..... or CO produced.

its like eating any other plant...lettuce or the like... your stomach should be designed to digest most plants safely....that doen't contain dangerous alkaloids (so dont say likez datura!!1!!11ONE!!!11!1111!ELEVEN)

Are you saying all these sites which claim marijuana is addictive and dangerous are correct, simply because so many say so? Because its common.

Those definitions are common literal interpretations of the term overdose. In the scientific community, overdose is in reference to the LD-50, not a dose which is higher then one would would like. Officially, it is impossible to overdose without taking the LD-50.

As stupid noob said,

As I have said, overdose refers to the LD-50 - the dose at which 50% of the experimental animals die.

Thats means 50% of the population will die during an OD. If you did not take enough to potentially die, its not an OD.

No source? Did you not see my Weed Harmless 3 post?

If you want an actual written definition, you can go suck my cock. I don't actually give a fuck if you want to sound like an idiot and tell people you "overdosed" on a drug when you've just taken more then is comfortable, especially weed. Any intelligent person is just going to laugh at you.

The LD50 has to do with that as well.

When those animals were given that much of the drug, they showed certain symptoms before they eventually died. These are called OVERDOSE SYMPTOMS.

When you show the same OVERDOSE symptoms, then you MAY be overdosing, but you are more likely leading up to a potential overdose.

However, more than is comfortable for you is most definately NOT an overdose. As stupid noob said, it's just you being a fucking pussy nooblet.
