In my opinion resin will get you really stoned, it just doesn't last as long as smoking some green. It has it's own taste that you may grow to enjoy, I usually just smoke it after I gather it so there isn't a ton of time for it to dry. Other people do it different ways though, it's up to you to decide what's best.

Smoking resin is great when you have no bud ,but is not a substitute for bud.

Doesn't really matter if you let it dry or not. If my pipe resin gets dry, I either scraped it for later that night, or got distracted after scraping it, either way doesn't bother me. If you decide to let it dry, throw a screen in the bowl on a bong and smoke it that way.

If you just have a pipe try smoking it like hash, just touch and go with the flame. If it's too wet to burn, torch the bowl slowly a few times and get it going, then smoke it like hash. It tastes odd, but it'll get you fairly ripped if you have a good amount.

I don't see why people are so prejudiced against resin, I've only met one or two people in person who've done that after they've tried it. It works, and it's readily available, gets me stoned enough to sleep, or heighten or ease a trip, or to help me smoke off last night's broken head without leaving home. I'm just barely a daily smoker, so it's not reserved to fiends.

Stupid Noob has it right. I'm a daily smoker and after every oz or two I scrape my bowls for rez. It's not a bad taste at all and it does get you high.

I can prove that stupid noob is correct because after every bowl I smoke, the ash is dumped out and I hit the empty pipe one or two more times, guaranteeing that all loose weed inside is burned. I've never had a problem smoking the resulting resin.

The only thing is yeah some plant matter occasionally falls through from packing (since I don't use screens) and I'll find that caked in some resin. However this is a rarity and only happens when I'm interrupted during a smoking session or too fucked-up to hit the empty bowl.

Yes resin will get you high. No you don't have to let it dry. It will make no difference in how high you get. Just ghost the hits and you should definately get high.

I've been smoking since I was 12 and when I smoke a cig on its on, I just get relaxed, no more body high

but when I mix it with resin (or anything for that matter) it seems to take my tolerance right back down to zero

The resin from my bong doesn't get me high. Its homemade, and uses a metal bowl and stem so it gets REALLY fucking hot and ruins any THC in the resin. Either that or my tolerance is currently so high resin doesn't do shit. I have gotten high from pipe resin before though. Resin sucks compared to weed, but if you need a quick toke to fall asleep at 3AM and your dry then its quite handy.
