Finally got over my jerk-off of an ex. Sure we had great times, and sure everything was 'perfect', but hell, live and learn. Isn't it funny how folks don't like talking to their ex? It's also funny how they hardly respond to any contact from ya...it's like when you say "Hey! Happy Birthday"....and they say "oh, thanks", ya just know that they really mean "fuck off". I read the clues and understand that she REALLY doesn't want to talk to me, but is, more or less, doing so simply to be polite. Fuck, I'd rather her not respond at all then! So guess what? I'm done trying to be nice with her.

Is it so hard to ask that people be honest? I'm not asking that folks protect my feelings or act with my feelings in mind to the point where they have to freakin' lie. I just want honesty!

For those of you in stable relationships, and those of you maintain 'friendship' status with your ex : Just how important is honesty to you? I mean the deep down, say it and mean it, honesty. Suddenly... having a gratifying only relationship makes a bit of sense. You both say what you want with no strings attached. 'I wanna fuck and when we're done, you can leave' kinda thing....where both parties want this and benefit from it. crude, but hell, 'tis honest.

Hell, I'm nice, courteous and I don't rush things. I'm honest and open with my feelings, and all for what?... to get fucked over...for the third freakin time. I swear, each relationship, though different, ended as a result of, or with a series of lies (on they're part) I really need to work on picking out girls....or just not be so nice to them', as they seem to love the jerks (no offense to the jerks).

Damn, it hurts to think that the person you really connected with could turn out to be an ass, but if feels good knowing that you're better off without them.

First off, I am on good terms with 2/3 of my exes. I have nothing to do with the one that cheated on me.

The way I see it, honesty is important in any relationship. Besides the part where it brings you closer, it helps keep unexpected little surprises from popping up, like if a friend happens to tell your girlfriend the real reason you broke up with your ex.

As for avoiding evil bitches, I don't know how to do that. I can tell you how to avoid getting suckered by them though.

Don't get too close too soon. Don't think that you can change someone. If you catch her in a lie, call her on it, don't let it slide. But don't harsh about it. something along the lines of "But I thought you said before that..." And dig for info about past relationships.
