I dont know what love is, I dont really care too much about the scientific side. All I know is that love satisfies me and is rather enjoyable at times. Thats good enough for me.

First thing that came across my mind when I saw this thread.

i have never been in love... well, at least i don't think i have. But i can say that i love my friends more than anything in the world, although there is nothing romantic going on with any of them (except one... and thats really complicated and fucking me over) i would take a bullet for any one of them...

then again recently i have realised that i would probably take a bullet for a stranger, for some reason i love everyone and everything around me. Its an awesome feeling, complete extacy and the like... but i'm constantly depressed at the same time.
So i don't know if what i'm feeling is actually love or if its just me with retarded emotions...

Because love is an abstract concept, obviously it is going to have different meaning to everybody.

I took a political philosophy elective where we learned about abstract concepts and how they are shaped....basically another way of indoctrinating us with the postmodern plague.

As much as I hated it, some of the ideas did make a little sense. Cultural background and traditions shape many of our views, such as love for example. Perhaps there is a culture in which you identify yourself with? Try turning to that to seek an understanding of what it means to love.
