basically, im goin out with a realllly good friend of mine, whom i asked out when i was pretty drunk...i never wanted to be in this type of relationship with her, but i dont wanna hurt her. she thinks i was totally serious when i asked her out. I was gonna break up with her the next day but then i saw how happy she was and i changed my mind.

yeah i mean it's pretty sticky dude. she's pretty much going to be crushed. you're going to have to convince her that romantic relationships kill friendships or something.

Just go along with it - realise that you dont have to meet anyone elses expectations and behave in the way you want to behave.

You miss her as a friend...You are scared that shit will turn sour one day and you'll lose a valuable friend. Therefore, you'll make it easier in the long run by ending it now.

Be prepared for a lot of awkwardness...But you'll still have a friend.

How long since you asked her out. If it's still early, you can try this.

Tell her that she's always been good to you, and you care about her a lot. i broke up with her last night. she gave me this teddy bear because i wasnt really feeling well for the past couple of days, and i just kept looking at it nervously, and she was like what whats wrong. i told her that i feel like an asshole for doing this because she is such an amazing girlfriend, but i dont feel the same way about her. then i dropped the bomb on her, and she seemed really upset, naturally, but i hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek, and she actually smiled back.
