Beliefs on God?

Hey, never posted in this section of TOTSE before, but I was just wondering how many people here are Christians who follow the bible word for word, how many Muslims etc?
Because I have a few minor questions for Christians, maybe Muslims too at some point. But the Christian questions first;

1: Why is the birth of Jesus almost word for word plaguarism(spelling?) of the Krishna scriptures, written many years prior to the bible?

2: How do you feel about theatrocities commited in the "Lord's" name? For example, the slaughter of the Cathars because they believed that the new testament was reversed and the god mentioned is the bad god.

3: How do you justify the fact that most of your celebrations of christ stem from earlier practices, such as Paganism etc? ie Christmas

And finally,
4: Why is it that, generally, I can have an debate with a Wiccan, A Satanist, A Buddhist etc about their teachings and believes, but the majority of Christians and Muslims I debate with do not give any ground, yet do not give any evidence to dispute my arguments?

Religion + Government control (aka, Theocracies) rarely work. Iran? Fail.

Okay, so we stole the Christmas tree iconography. Most other refrence's to Paganism aren't traditional Christian views. Example: the 12 Days of Christmas and the 12 Wild Nights in Germania.
