Can I change?
I'm a horrible social reject. I hate people for no reason at all ( I hate people with a name that starts with J ) and I can't even talk right in front of people.
I'm a failure in almost every way. People say I look good and all but I just don't believe it. I don't shower for weeks some times and I some times don't leave my house for weeks.
I smoke something every day and I dress in a weird fashion. Most of the people I know hate me because I "talk weird".
When I got to parties I always lay down on a chair and just think. I always refuse to dance because I look like "an idiot". Hell, I don't even know how to dance.
I read all the time and spend 75% of my time on my computer. I always quote movies and I'm horrible at math. I like to listen to Batch and Mozart.
Can I change?
Am I a failure?

Re: Can I change?
Of course you can change, the key is whether you really want to or not. The rest is straightforward.
1) SHOWER. WTF.

Re: Can I change?
Depends when the last time you showered was really. Or if you can afford a hooker.
Seriously though, when you go to parties:
-1: Before you even get there make sure: You have showered (I usually get outta the shower, into clothes, into the vodka shots, then out the door). Make sure you aren't offensive on the nose, IE wear deodorant and shampoo you hair. If you are in your house all the time I imagine you are pale, or a nigger. Get out in the sun, meet other people in your neighborhood, or you will never find a girl.
Now for at hte party:
1:Don't just sit down and think. I used to do this, it sucked balls.
2: To avoid conflict, avoid people who's name starts with a J.
3: Get drunk and loosen up a little. Talk to people. Tell them a bit about yourself (not the not showering part though! On that note make sure your tackle is clean just incase you get some)
4: Everyone looks like and idiot when they dance! Exhibit A: Me!
http://a849.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/113/l_634cfd615ab09f0d6877a128179582c0.jpg
5: Stress less dude. You said you smoke "something" everyday. That can get you in with a lot of birds. Here at least anyway.
Most importantly shower and get a tan (GO OUT FUCKING DOORS)

Yeah, I'm half spic. But the thing is, I'm just really lazy. I don't find the strength to wash my teeth.
I look ok but really....Who the fuck does this every day?
Thanks for that anyways.

See, I get the impression here that you don't want to change, you just want things to improve by themselves. No such luck, really.
Until you're not too lazy to shower, brush your teeth, wear clean clothes, etc. then you're gonna be stuck where you are now.

No problem mate. I'm half Lebanese, I reckon I could pass for spic over in the USA (not that I'd want to... Maybe to buy guns from gangs or something I dunno).
Brushing your teeth takes like 2 minutes dude. If you can't find the time chew some gum.
A shower is a good way to wake up. Have one straight after you gtet up, put on some clean clothes and you will feel much better, hell it might even give you a bit of motivation to do something.

People don't change.
Theoretically, they can...with great effort. But thats usually stuff for movies and books.

Maybe I'll try that but I feel exactly like you do.
I was at a wedding the other day and I hated it. I hate fucking people dancing. It feels horrible to see people have fun and that.
I just want to get drunk and ruin the party. But I can't even do that.

Re: Can I change?
Your definiately a failure, though that doesn't mean you can't change, the only thing that really decides whether or not you can change is if when you try to change you hate it that much more, and soon you realize that you don't want to change, that you are better off the way you are.
As for like batch and mozart that's fine, but really you should try to asimulate into the new generation, try out some foo fighters, or breaking benjamins for alot of people these days if you still listen to Guns & Roses your living in the past

Re: Can I change?
When I get really depressed sometimes I don't shower for like a month.... but then I also don't get out of bed at all and I'm not seeing ANYONE so it doesn't really matter. If I was going out somewhere I would definitely shower.... probably not just before because then I'd have to dry my hair which would be a right royal pain in the arse but at least the night before. And I only brush my teeth once a day not twice unless I have someone staying over.... but that's just laziness.
I also don't dance for fear of looking like an idiot.... you could try some E or speed to help with this.... I find it helps.... unless I come up that little bit too much and am practically paralised hahaha.
I think you don't have to be the life and soul of a party to meet people... just try to have some nice conversations... you don't even have to dance as long as you actually talk to people.... because there are probably slightly reserved girls out there who really don't want a man who's going to force them to get up and dance.
But yeah.... shower before you go out.

To be the kind of person that goes out with everyone at the party. The kind of person that people seek for advice. The kind of person people respect and fear.
I'm far from that but that's kinda my goal.

Yeah. If a person ask me out I'll say no. It's automatic. I regret it later but it's really depressing. Sometimes people don't even eye me. Even at family meetings.

I like your style Slag you know exactly what your problem is, you know exactly how to fix it, but you still refuse to accept it, so let's just see what level of acceptance you are on, 1st denial, well you have already admitted it so let's skip that one. 2nd anger, you said you hate people so we are past that. 3rd bargaining, well it actually looks like you are at that one right now, you are looking to see if your a lost cause. 4th depression, your definatly depressed, so you on level 4, but you forgot to take care of level 3, so take care of level 3, and since you are already depressed you will skip right to level 5 acceptance.

Re: Can I change?
Since you started this thread have you done anything to change? If not, lol good luck.
Buy some nice new clothes, look cleaned up and go to school more (you say you stay home for weeks?) and join a club or have some hobbies. Not too hard, an example could be skateboarding, I used to and I'd meet people everytime id go to the park and smoke joints. Not saying skating is for you, seeing as you probably cant remember the last time you exercized :p

Re: Can I change?
You don't sound like you want to be the life of the party.
You say you don't feel like a failure, yet you demean yourself and you desperately want to change yourself. You can't have your self-loathing and eat it too.
The solution isn't as simple as showering or changing your habits or forcing yourself to do something (though this is useful for some things).
You have to start from the ground up. You have to change the way you judge yourself and everything around you. Basically, you have to change the way you think before you'll ever allow yourself to do the things you're looking to do.
Or you can accept yourself and maybe set some goals not to be such a slob.
Baby steps... you're not going to be able to be the life of the party in 2 weeks... you're probably not going to be able to do it in 2 months. Make a list of the things you want to change and if they're too big then break them up into smaller goals and start with the top of the list.
But you sound like you don't want to change, you just want all the perks that go with being popular.

Well, you don't have to accept it, if through bargaining you change the outcome, then there's nothing to accept, I think what you really want is to learn how to live life, but you have set your own code that you refuse to break e.g. you said, "Yeah. If a person ask me out I'll say no. It's automatic. I regret it later but it's really depressing. Sometimes people don't even eye me. Even at family meetings." which means you have set a code of conduct for yourself, way you set the code only you can understand, learn to break your codes so that you can live, otherwards your doing the same thing over and over again.

Re: Can I change?
I don't want to stay as the person that has nobody.
You have us, and that's a start.
Why are you so introvert? Do you feel you're depressed?
MAybe you're scared to change? Do you feel like you're somehow stuck as you are?
Humans are strange, and can be very powerfull. You can change, if you have the motivation to do so. This coming from someone who was morbidly obese and painfully alone and eating myself to an untimely death less than 6 years ago.
First of all, what do you want? You just want to be not alone? Do you mean as in you want a partner? Or friends?
Or just to be generally accepted?
I'm sure you know how shallow humans can be, so your personal hygene is one thing you have to work on. Other than that I cant really suggest how you might go about changing your personality to appeal to be people, but a few key pointers to remember:
1-Humans are quite egoistical. If you want someone to talk to you, ask alot of questions about them, not overly prying questions, but questions as though you're interested. People love to talk about themselves.
2-Smile. Not so much that people think that you're mad, but dont be so miserable you appear unaproachable.
3-Dont open up too much. If you start talking to someone and things seem to be going okay, dont suddenly dump all your issues and insecurities on them, they'll probably flee. Or laugh at you behind your back.
Be friendly and interested, but not clingy.

Well, I do feel depressed at times, but sometimes I feel euphoric.
MAybe you're scared to change? Do you feel like you're somehow stuck as you are?
Maybe. I know I could change but my body won't let me.
Humans are strange, and can be very powerfull. You can change, if you have the motivation to do so. This coming from someone who was morbidly obese and painfully alone and eating myself to an untimely death less than 6 years ago.
Thanks for that comment.
First of all, what do you want? You just want to be not alone? Do you mean as in you want a partner? Or friends?
Or just to be generally accepted?
I just want someone to trust in, someone that will love me in an unconditional way. I had my last girlfriend when I was 8. I hate friends. They are never friends.
I'm sure you know how shallow humans can be, so your personal hygene is one thing you have to work on. Other than that I cant really suggest how you might go about changing your personality to appeal to be people, but a few key pointers to remember:

I do try to smile but it doesn't make a difference.
3-Dont open up too much. If you start talking to someone and things seem to be going okay, dont suddenly dump all your issues and insecurities on them, they'll probably flee. Or laugh at you behind your back.
That's one of my problems. I open up myself to anyone if I'm pressured enough.
Be friendly and interested, but not clingy.

Yeah man stay positive at first. Don't show how much of a loser you are when you first meet a person. Unless its one of those one girls. The cool ones who are very understanding and dont mind when people open up to them. Those girls are awesome.

Re: Can I change?
If I wanted attention I wouldn't degrade myself to totse you fucking acolyte.
Motherfucker. If you're gonna use the word at least make sure it makes some fucking sense. I'm sick of these pseudo-intellectuals coming on here trying to insult everyone and everyone by spouting 'ACOLYTE ZOMG!!!' in every post.
http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_1861583419/acolyte.html
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=yj6&defl=en&q=define:Acolyte&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title
Now stop fucking saying it out of fucking context, it makes you look like a goddamn idiot. if you mean it as 'follower', then 'sheep' is another nice word for it that makes a lot more sense, and prevents you from looking like you're trying to be holier-than-thou all the time, you still look like a shut-in social reject/social fuckup though.
And um, why won't your body let you change?
I think that you'd much much prefer not to change. You're alright with the way you are as person, or at least too far to change that. You want the rest of the world to conform to what you want out of them, because you hate/dislike most people, or at least anyone successful or popular.
Nothing in your attitude in this entire thread has told me you want to change, you just want things to be different. Perfectly common, but good luck there.

EDIT: Orange_Crusader said it better.
I'm willing to bet you'll never change.

As said before, you misused the word, but it doesn't really matter. If you're saying you wouldn't degrade yourself to asking for totse's attention, then why would you post a thread asking for totse's attention? The way I see it, you want people to think you don't care. When you sit at parties and 'just think', you're doing so because you're afraid to be social, so you figure "If I sit down and pretend to think, then people will think I'm different" and that's what you want. What you should do is shower every day, brush your teeth every day, not smoke as much, and make friends. You seem really inconfident and it's a hard thing to change, but if you don't put an honest effort into it, you will not change. If I had to make a prediction, I'd say no, you won't change.

People do change, if they want to.
They say that one can become a completely different person in 7 years.
Showering is a good start, tidying your room and your clothes is a good start.
