I've been in a few situations where random people would get their friends to ask me out for them. I would just say I don't know them very well, or if they want to talk have them come up to me. When they come up to you just be really negative or something, and show no interest. Whatever no one can force you to be with anyone. The other person has to deal with rejection or they're just gay.
