Stealing a girlfriend
So theres this girl ive been crushing on for allitle over 2 years. She is a year younger than me and so is her boyfriend. He also strikes me as somewhat immature. Anyway, she has been with him for almost 2 years.
She is in my study/gym class but so far this year I have not had the balls to talk to her. We share similar interests and i think we have alot in common. However I dont just want to approach her about these because itll seem like I am stalking her. I think she is attracted to me, we often exchange glances, but i hope not for the wrong reasons. On the day we go back to school after this vacation I plan on talking to her. I am going to bring in a snowboard buyers guide and ask her which kind of snowboard she has (I already know its a burton, she told me 2 years ago) and I plan on looking over the catalog with her. I am also going to take a klonopin a period or so prior to calm my nerves allitle.
I have noticed that when I talk to one of her friends (guy) who is also in that class and they usually talk she looks right into my eyes. I think she only went out with her boyfriend because he was the only one who made it known that he liked her. Im kind of scared but am thinking about buying some new clothes to help with my confidence.

Always remember: If you can steal her from him, someone else can just as easily steal her from you.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
Not the best way to get a loyal boyfriend, but fun in its own right.
Grow some balls. Wow. Thats like 85% of the answers to this kinna thread. She isn't going to choose you over some other immature boy if you need to buy new clothes and abuse drugs to talk to her. Not that its not good to dress up, and not that drugs aren't fun.
That said, I've done this. Just talk with her, and make a list (later) of all the things she wants that her boyfriend isn't. For me, that mean being spontaneous, having confidence, and being christian.
Don't give up if it doesn't work right away. I had to wait a few months as she dumped her bf and proceeded to be all upons.
Also, treat it as a game, better success rate and more fun.

After reading the title and only the first half of your post, I've come to a conclusion...
You should have called the thread "Getting Beaten Up"

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
I love how in the 3 years I've been dropping in and out of S&A, these questions always get the same answers, just by different posters.
Look at it this way, some punk tries to move in on my girl, and he'll probably get a broken jaw. And this generally applies to most blokes. You move in on another man's woman, and you're asking for trouble. That's way you haven't really had any constructive answers.

Fuck you asshole. You are the one whining because mummy won't let you go to a party. And here I find you telling someone that he fails at life? Gtfo the internets.
Gunjah,
Basically just talk to her more, become a lot closer, then when the time is right, drop the bomb. Personally I'd find it a tad creepy if a guy sort of came out of no where and expressed feelings somewhat to what you are talking about. Although if you do have a closer relationship with this girl, I'd say just go for it.
You can gain two advantages, and a disadvantage. Experience, the chance she'll accept it, or be .. negative.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
Write out ten or so scenarios that could happen if you talk to her. Read and learn them and it should give you a but more confidence. Pretend that you know she likes you and don't be afraid to show it - just don't be a dick about it and act all arrogant.
If it doesn't work, write out 10 ways it could've gone better - what you could've said etc. If this happens, plenty more fish.......

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
abuse drugsHe said he was going to take a therapeutic dose, for the exact reason that clonazepam is prescribed.
Since when is using a medication, in the dosage and manner prescribed, classed as "abuse"?

I bet his doctor didn't tell him "Here, drop an extra one of these when you need to talk to girls". I'd bet even more that that's not what the script says.
So, therefore. Yeah. He should learn to get over this without extra drugs anyways. Learn to deal with life.
So, yank that rebar outta your rectum and chill out, and atleast don't f*ck up the technical definitions when diving into semantics.

first off, theyre not prescribed. As robinhoody said, a therapeutic dose is not abuse. It is self medication. Its only a 1mg and it will give me the confidence that i need. Basically what it does is make you not care, so i wont be scared shitless of fucking up, which means that ill actually be able to talk to her instead of coming across as a retard because im so nervous.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
Does that mean you'll need to take them everytime you talk to her? Or are you just afraid of rejection? Or is it to help you not think of the fact that you're scum for trying to steal a girl from a guy, and that you'll probably get your face smashed in?

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
I bet his doctor didn't tell him "Here, drop an extra one of these when you need to talk to girls". I'd bet even more that that's not what the script says.Clonazepam is prescribed for anxiety (among other things). He is anxious about talking to the girl. Taking a therapeutic dose of an anxiolytic to deal with an anxiety-inducing situation is not abuse.
So, yank that rebar outta your rectum and chill out, and atleast don't f*ck up the technical definitions when diving into semantics. What "technical definitions" did I mess up? Is he using a therapeutic dose? Yes. Is he using it for the reasons it is commonly prescribed? Yes. Are you an idiot? Most likely.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
Unless I'm mistaken, Clonazepam is a once-a-day drug, and using drugs in a contra-indicated manner is a form of abuse.
Not that there's anything wrong with abuse. Can be lots of fun.
He also seems to be psychologically dependent. He can't talk to this girl unless he's drugged? I don't know about you, but I prefer not to need drugs for my social life.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
You're a dick for wanting to steal someone's girlfriend, and seeing as you can't talk to a YOUNGER GIRL (trust me it's so much easier when they're even a year younger), you're not going to be able to.

Re: Stealing a girlfriend
Unless I'm mistaken, Clonazepam is a once-a-day drugTwo things:
1. You're mistaken. Clonazepam is generally prescribed BID, or, in some situations, PRN, but that's only for short-term use, and I've never met anyone who has managed to get it PRN.
2. Even if it were only prescribed SID, he only took it once, so where is the abuse?
He also seems to be psychologically dependent.Wow, you must be a pretty skilled therapist to get that from the very brief mention he gave of using it to calm his nerves...He can't talk to this girl unless he's drugged? I don't know about you, but I prefer not to need drugs for my social life.He never said he "needed" it. That was you putting words in his mouth. He just said that it would calm his nerves (precisely what clonazepam is prescribed for, whodathunkit?), and make it easier. He never said he couldn't do it without it....
