I got thinking how about a thread where we talk about the worst rejections you have had and the best successes you've had.

Maybe you got kicked in the balls, kneed in the nose and had your interest tell all the girls in town not to go for you...or maybe you asked the hottest girl out who'd NEVER go for you and somehow it just happened.

Hopefully the rejection posts won't be too bad and it will make people think the opposite sex aren't just looking to shoot you down, and the successful event posts will inspire people to make the plunge.

Successes(in brief terms):
-Met up with a old classmate from elementary school, turns out the girl was mad horny, being universal i adapted to her style of defense(hard to get at first) and just murdered it like a zombie extermination squad.

-This is Success in progress right here with this girl(asian, not oriental tho). Girl was giving me some insane signals back in the class i had her in. Thought nothing of it at the time but took notes for later use. Fast forward 5 months later i manage to get in touch with her and end up setting up with her. School starts and it was like pulling a pin on a grenade with me slowly releasing the handle allowing that shit to explode. Unbelievable stuff went on which ill not mention cause i dont have the time to type out every detail. OWNAGE:

i've been rejected by everybody i've ever wanted. true, but youth is too short to bitch about it. wait, that's right, i get pretty depressed.. is that just another way of bitching. yeah i guess it is.

my only success was having a girl that was down when i was 10.. it wasn't even my choice really.. the other girls proved themselves inadequate so i ended up with her and felt great. she was still pretty but not my first choice.

Best success: As usual, on saturday nights we have pretty large weddings. I'm slammed at the bar trying to cater to a bridal party made exclusively of the frat type, fresh out of college. Theres this cute little (some kind of spanish-asian mix) girl that comes up and orders a drink. And asks me to come closer. So I lean over the bar, and she asks me to come even closer. I lean a little further, and she kisses me on the cheek.

It was so delicate that it stunned me. She didn't come up again for the rest of the night, which was some 5 hours or so. At the end of the night, I saw her at one of the tables with her friend, packing her things. And I told her she made my night, and I think I said something stupid like...I wanted to make it up to her by granting her a wish or something. This was in my first year working there, and I was so young and naive. Anyways, she said her wish was for me to kiss her and her friend on the cheek. I didn't. She was standing up, and somehow we ended up making out in the middle of the ballroom with what was left of the guests watching.

I asked her what she was doing that night, and she said she was going home with her friend. I don't remember the exact words, but she was strongly hinting that they were going home for some hot lesbian sex. And she was a military girl, so she was leaving the next day. We get a lot of people at our weddings that are from out of town. Anyways, I asked her a few times to come out with me for a while before she went home with her friend, but she was firm. Eventually she just came out and said something like "Unless you want both of us to go somewhere now, I have to get going.".

I'm still kicking myself to this day for not taking her up on it. (Even though her friend wasn't that hot.) I literally had my choice of uber-sexy scenarios. Worst failure: Also, from when I was bartending. I work at a country club mind you, and I got the job because my mother had been working there for some 15 years. She left for another job after I was there for about a year, but for the first year I was working with her.

So I was working some kind of party, I forget what. And this girl walked in and I couldn't help but notice her. She wasn't smoking hot or anything, but she was cute in an unconventional way. And she had the most powerful eyes. She was also wearing a gorgeous dress, that I found out later she designed herself. Well, she eventually came over to the bar. I made the mistake of hitting on her.

It turns out, my mother had already spoken to her at the table, and they had this long conversation about the dress, and my mom got her number because she wanted her to design a dress for my sister. Somewhere in that conversation, my mother felt the need to throw in the fact that the guy at the bar was her son. So when I finally hit on her, she actually came out and replied "I'm old enough to be your mother". I hated that :\

No really notable rejections, though once when I was really drunk I started hitting on my friend who had a girlfriend...

At this one party, I was really fucked up and we were all staying over. Sleeping in beds and whatnot. I was on the rebound, so I lean in to one of my friends and say, "let's fuck when everyone goes to sleep and stuff." She was like ok. We fucked twice. Bad idea in retrospect.

A while ago, before I could pull girls, there was a girl who I was pursuing for a while... about six months total. She was amazing. Beautiful, smart, funny, quirky, loved drugs, and I learned more about music, film, and art from her than anyone in my life. We became like best friends. For the first three she thought I was gay. I confessed my affection for her three times, getting things like "thanks" or silence. Seriously, when you tell a girl you want to be with her, and she says "thanks," that's really fucking bad. I got fucking torn up over everything. It was eating at me. I finally gave up.

One day, I was driving over to her house to pick her up and get lunch. I hit a patch of black ice, and swerved off the road, went over a stone wall, under a fallen tree, and in between maybe 4 more trees before coming to a stop. Totalled the car, but I didn't have a scratch on me. She was the first one I called, and got there before anyone. We had plans to go skiing to her house that night, which we did.

We were walked into some trees, and were throwing snowballs at each other and just laying in the snow. One of mine hit her in the eye. Way smooth. Then we watched some movie and chatted. She was acting funny all night, and as we were turning off all the lights and going to bed (myself in the loft) she stopped me on the stairs. "I really really like you." We made out. it was awesome. Quite possibly the happiest day of my life, followed by one or two of the happiest months.

Worst failure:

I am at a party. It is poorly lit. Me and a girl(both pretty drunk) talk for awhile, get kind of playful, find a quiet room to ourselves. The lights are off. She gets to doing what girls do to male genitalia with their mouths. I turn on a light. She looks up at me, goes wide eyed, and runs away screaming.

Me, being horribly confused, find out the next day that up until that point she had thought I was her boyfriend. I was not.

One of the more awkward moments in my life.

Biggest success:

Have [been in a situation which rendered me in close proximity to this girl] (edit: lets not allow any assumptions) since I was 9 years old, never knew she existed. I disappear for two years. When I get back she decides she wants me for her own. One thing leads to another. Innuendo etc. January is our 2 year anniversary; rejoice.

Worst rejection- Never had one.... have only asked someone out a couple of times I usually just flirt a little bit and see what reaction I get... this wasn't a rejection because I ended up going out with him anyway but I was pretty sad when my last ex said "I'll have to think about it" when I asked him out. I later found out he only said that because I'd previously turned him down about 20 times and he wanted revenge. Great basis for a relationship lol.

I asked a guy in my Annual Class to be my date to the dance we were throwing as a club. He said yes, and we dated for two years. I liked him so much, but I was so painfully shy so it was such a big accomplishment.

pretty fucked up, I came to the conclusion if she cared so little whether or not I lived or died, she wasn't worth killing myself over, odd how you can resolve problems sometimes, isn't it?

Oh my god, I have been rejected so many times. But now that I try to think of those occasions, I can't really remember. I think I may have blocked out those memories, because thinking about it makes me feel bad. I do remember that when I was in school, I had so many crushes and not a single one was reciprocated.

But from grade 12 on, I've been successful. I've never had to pursue a man since I graduated, they've just come to me. So that's pretty sweet.

I can remember when I was in grade 10, I thought this guy Kyle was the hottest guy in the school. We ended up hanging out a few times, but he also stood me up a few times too. Once I went to the train station to meet him, and I waited for over an hour before I gave up and went to my girlfriend's house and cried because I felt so stupid.

But now Kyle is my boyfriend, lol.

Hah, it's been a while. My worst one had to be when I was working at a camp, right before I got together with my last girlfriend. It was a few weeks before we actually started work, and the staff was going though the camp, making sure things were in shape, tents were setup and etcetera. The night we spent down there, everyone was huddled in the blistering cold around the Girls' cabin.(This was in spring, right along the Oregon coast) One of the girls there, she wasn't particularly attractive per se, but was cute in her own way. It being cold, I look for a warm place to sit, which ended up right behind her. Even worse, I look for a warm place to put my hands, and this happened to be her back. The part I remember best:

"Does this make you uncomfortable?"
"...Yes."

...Shit.
And on that note, I backed off and resumed a quiet, awkward position. One that was substantially colder, I might add.

My better moments aren't worth mentioning at all, they're there though.
