Default Persuade Me

Because at the moment I could go either way.

I have this girlfriend, nearly 2 years younger than me, just turned 16. She comes from a rather religious family, who don't let her date outside the religion basically. The same story a billion other guys have, which is a shame.

Anyway, long story shorter, I snuck in through her window for like 6 months until her parents found out because she told one of her stupid friends and they told her mum. Her entire family hate me, etc.

It matters very little to me. The problem is, I can never see her in the daytime or go to parties with her because of her parents and her inability to lie successfully. Now she wants to run away from home, she has nowhere to go, very little money, and I'm not taking her in because my parents wouldn't like it and I don't think it's a great idea.

She's starting to be pretty annoying, pretty whiny and shit about her family and insists she has to leave. I'd feel pretty bad if I just left her when she's having a really hard time, but I'm kinda getting sick of it.

I'll be at uni next year and she's still at school, so we will virtually never see each other. Oh, and she "loves" me pretty hard.

My question: Should I help her out, then break up with her or not bother at all?

Nevermind that latter post... She's too young to be running off. She'd probably end up whoring herself out just to have enough money for food. Don't help and don't stick around. She'll get over it eventually.

Don't bother. She sounds too clingy. She needs to sort things out with her parents on her own. She cant just run away and become independent at 16 and expect to have any sort of future besides a streetwalker.

I wouldn't worry about her bro. Because I'm betting that if you help her out and still want to end things afterwards then she'll be all crazy attached to you because of what you "did for her" and she'll tell you how much she "loves you" and how "sweet that was." So unless you honestly wanna end it then don't help her out.

You can't let her stay with you unless you don't mind your parents going to jail for kidnapping or something.

Keep in contact with her if you want to, but you can't have any semblance of a real relationship - at least until she goes away to college. Once (if) that happens, feel free to persue it.

And by persue, I mean fuck, and by it, I mean her.

She's a dumb slut for telling her friend about you getting in through the window anyways. Maybe if she wasn't such a loose tongued blabber mouthed skank she would still have a relationship. Instead, dump her.

Also, is she Mormon, Catholic, Jewish or Muslim? Just wondering...

Long distance relationships in college are a bitch. How far are you going? It's hard not seeing the person if you're too far too drive for a long time.

My case: I broke up with my girlfriend before going to college. I realized there wasn't really anyone I wanted to be with more than her, after having some casual sex. We got back together, and i fucking treasure ever moment i spend with her when I go home for breaks. I love her. And the sex is fucking fantastic. But she's 18, not 16...

And this is my second attempt at college, by the way (got kicked out for coke the first time).

None of us know how you feel. If you think she's immature, a long distance relationship will NOT work. None of us know how biased or unbiased your account is.

If this was going to work you would have already done it (ie let her move in with you etc).

She's too young and you'd be heading for a whole world of legal hassles.

It can work and work well. I knew a 19/14 combination where it did. But its bloody rare.

But it don't sound like its the case in your case.

Mmm, okay well I'm in Australia, and we don't really go away to college as much as you guys up in the US. We more go to a university in the closest city.

I think I'm going to have to break it off, thanks for the advice. Like a lot. I think I knew what I'd do but I just needed to hear it.

Uhh... I don't know whether to wait until after xmas. I know the more I leave it the harder and worse it'll be, but I'm horrible at following advice.

So, yeah, it wouldn't be a long distance relationship, but it would mean I never really get to see her... Thanks.

Just chill man.

Let her love you or whatever. And try persuading her to sort things out with her parents and not to do something she will regret.

Once it's all blown over, then you can end it if you still want to.

Tell her this?

I doubt that would go down well with her. Normally I suggest this to people with similar problems. The reason it wouldn't work is that she's pretty immature I guess, and would jump to the conclusion that I wanted to break up with her, even if I just wanted to have a discussion about it.

She would say this: "Why don't you just break up with me then?"

I'd put money on it.

Oh and she's Christian, for whoever asked... I forget which denomination. One of them. Baptist?
