i had a debate with one of my friends as to what constitutes a 5
she argues that 5 is neutral/average
whereas i say a 7 is about average kinda the same way school grades work right?

Everyone uses the number system, even unintentionally. Saying you don't is basically saying you think all girls are equally good looking. Or bad looking if your a glass half empty kind of guy.

I usually make 6 "average". 6 Is a 'yes I would go to dinner with you, but I'm not paying for both of us' kind of level. 4 is a 'I would sleep with you, but I would have to be really drunk' kind of level. 8 is the head turner level. She's gonna stop traffic kind of looks.

The inherant flaw with the number system is that there are level 4 girls out there who can transform into level 8 girls with a little bit of effort.

1=lowest.
10=highest.

It's only rationable that 5 is the median/average/neutra/ whatever you want to call it.

Personally, I pretty much only give out 5-9's, so my system might be a bit skewed.

I'm very selective about the higher numbers (8+), and I feel bad giving anything less than a 5.

I don't think the system is meant to be all that accurate. It's usually just for thinking up a rating for someone on the spot.

At least that's how I see/use it. There is no FCC regulated international standard or anything.. :p

5: average
6-10: above average to hot

I think everyone should strive for greater accuracy and use a percentage system. "Daaaamn look at that 84% over there."

The 1 - 10 system isn't the same as grades. I would say 5 is average, if a 7 is average your 10's are probably not really 10's. Stick to 5 being an average looking girl.

Here's my philosophy:

0 is a saggy old lady with no teeth.

5 is the dividing line between fuckable and not.

4 points go for intelligence, but she can get an extra point if she can act

3 points for looks

3 points for kindness/coolness/charisma

But remember, these points down here determine datability, not fuckability. I'd say 7 is the dividing line here between datable or not.
