Default "Twig women"

So every know and then some chubby woman feeling all persecuted will start complaining. About how the media makes them feel bad and about how they're normal too etc etc. But then they'll always get all bitch and mention twig women and start insulting skinny girls.

This fucks me off to no end. You complain because you're made to feel bad about your weight and then you do the exact same thing you claim is happening to you and you put down skinny girls.

Just makes you seem bitter as fuck. Some people are naturally chubby, some are naturally slim. Not all skinny girls are starving themselves and not all chubbies are stuffing themselves.

But insulting slim girls makes you no better.

Generally, if you want to lose weight, it can be done. Generally. If you want to lose all body fat you have, I doubt that can be done.

Conversely, if you want to put on weight, generally it can be done.

Saying "I'm normal, just overweight" is like saying "I'm normal, I just have a cold". You aren't 'normal', you have a disorder, obesity is a disorder, and so is being dangerously underweight. Your 'normality' however is irrelevant because your disorder is curable, and I am yet to see or experience a 'normal' person.

I'm "chubby" and a) I don't complain about "twig women" I used to be one and I think they are great. And b) I don't complain that the media pursecutes me for being bigger. (although I'm not a 500 pound whale so maybe you were talking about really fat women)

I hate it when people go "UGH look at that MODEL, she's so skinny, what a idiot, I bet she throws up, GAWD SHE LOOKS TERRIBLE"
But then you see those same hypocritical cunts are wearing the perfume or clothing that that model is advertising, and they still buy all the fucking magazines with big articles relating to all the big new gossip about that model.

I mean, come on people! What the fuck do you want!

You cant go saying that fat is "just as beautifull" and all that bullshit when the covers of all the magazines and billboards are still plastered with beautifull slender women without a spare ounce of fat on them.

Anorexic just lacks imagination. I prefer 'skeletor'. I knew this girl once, supermodel physique, gorgeous in all respects. She was always so concerned that everyone liked her. I never got tired of making fun of her weight. Skeletor was the one that always made her blow her lid. She couldn't stand the thought of me not wanting her. People are strange.

As they should be; no one in the right mind thinks that a girl purging her food to stay thin is sexy.

Some girls naturally can't maintain a high body weight. There's nothing wrong it.

A girl can be pretty with 20 extra pounds or without them. There's more to beauty than a bit of flesh.

Underweight is just as bad as overweight. I tend to go for curvy ladies, the important bit is whether or not they're at their natural weight; if they starve themselves, or if they gorge on food excessively, then they're probably not healthy.
I don't want to be able to see every rib, but I don't want there to be rolls where there should be curves. When a girl stands with her legs together, the thighs should ideally meet in the middle!

Although I would personally have a girl that was a little chubby then a skin and bones girl. That shit looks DISCUSTING!!!!!!!! I'm not talking about skinny and in shape model, like literally no fat just bones showing 90 pound anorexic girls. It's just the arms an legs, so fucking skinny, ew.

It really is angering what they're doing to the standards of beauty. It's true that the current standards are unattainable by average people, that's why we see perfect beauty with such divinity.

Now they want to make barbie have a thicker waist and give her all kinds of little defects so girls won't "feel bad". Let's do this, we'll replace all the beautiful women with fatasses, but we're going to change the covers of your romantic novels with Danny DeVito! Replace Robert Redford with Steve Buscemi! George Clooney with Gilbert Gottfried.

Because OMG the symbols of male beauty are unnattainable.

I get that anorexic shit all the time.

I eat a LOT. But I generally eat a lot of healthy food. It pisses me off that people get pissed off because I'm thin.

I've always been thin, and I'm SO tired of apologizing for it. I don't throw up my food and I don't count calories. I don't even weigh myself on a regular basis.

And recently, I stopped eating as much sugar and drinking pop because it's bad for my teeth. Simple as that. My dentist told me to stop. So I lost some weight, and now people are commenting on it. I've heard of people talking behind my back about eating disorders and whatnot. I'm not skin and bones, you can't see my ribs, and I have an ass.

No matter what though, people are going to criticize others for their weight. It's stupid, but I figure if people are wasting their time worrying about it, that's their own problem.

I'm a UK 14, that's a US 10. 32 inch waist. And I'm chubby.
When I was a size 4, that's a US 0, 22 inch waist.... then I was thin.

When I was thin people never seemed to tell me I was too thin, and now I'm fat people never seem to tell me I'm too fat so I don't see what all this fuss is about. People aren't really THAT critical of weight.... unless you're famous..... or unhealthy... or in school.

This is (one reason) why it's good to be a man.

You can be skinny and not be accused to having an eating disorder / of intentionally starving/purging.

You can be chunky and, really, it doesn't matter quite as much.

AND you don't have to hang around waiting for someone's back to be turned so that you can insult them based on their tendancy to one or other extremity of the body mass scale.

Edit: I realised I've forgotten what my Body Mass Index was.

My point is you could take two people and give them the same diet and amount of exercise, one could come out quite skinny one quite chubby. Some peoples natural weight includes a bit of flab. So what?

Conversely, if you want to put on weight, generally it can be done.

Saying "I'm normal, just overweight" is like saying "I'm normal, I just have a cold". You aren't 'normal', you have a disorder, obesity is a disorder, and so is being dangerously underweight. I disagree, I have friends that cover pretty much the whole spectrum of weight.... and I never comment on any of them unless they are unhealthily fat or unhealthily thin. And when this is the case.... it makes no difference what sex they are. In fact the last time I told someone they were too thin was one of my best friends who happens to be a man. However I know for a fact he doesn't eat enough because he is skint so he only spends £3 a week on food.

Not necessarily. It's not just the TV that influences reality, it goes both ways really. They try to sell to us what we want, and that makes us want what they sell. Not as trivial as the media saying "This is what you should like!", and everyone going "k".

Same here. I'm not fat but I need to sort out my feelings and attitude towards food. A healthy absense from the fucking stuff is the best way to come to terms with it.

I've been anorexic, and I've been obese. I was unhappy and unhealthy when I was fat, when I was skinny I may have been unhealthy, but atleast I was happy.

I dont chose to be thin over fat because of some damn supermodel. I know that no matter how much weight I lose I'll never look like those women. There's the little issue of height and breast implants, both of which I lack.

I generally feel better about myself when I've control over what I consume.
And, it's not okay to be fat. It's really not.

How do you manage to become fat just by eating food so easily? I find putting on weight to be a really slow and difficult process.

I mean, there's only so much you can eat and only so much time you can devote to eating.

And I find it that if I don't keep myself stuffed all the time, I'm not putting any on any weight, be it muscle or fat; and if I do stuff myself one day and put on some weight, it will get back to my average in no time once I get back to my normal meals. And I'm too lazy to go looking for food every hour or so, not to say that I don't have the time to do so.

In short, please share your secret on how you manage to put on weight, I need to know.

I think guys and girls have very different perceptions of what 'skinny' means. Women hear skinny and think Victoria's Secret models, and knowing that 99% of women will never look like that, they get pissed and defensive about how men only like skinny girls. Meanwhile men, in my experience, define skinny as the ribs-showing-hipbones-jutting out-hasn't-eaten-in-a-fortnight kind of look, and that those lingerie/bikini models are the perfect amount of thin. Now obviously thats a bit of a gross generalization, but it seems to me that it's difficult to discuss weight preferences when women and men have an entirely different understanding of the vernacular.

From what I understand, starvation dieting is a pretty stupid and pointless means of losing weight. Apparently when the body feels like it's being starved, it attempts to protect itself by preserving fat.

It's much more fun to make up a fantasy of what someone has said. Act like one has understood completely & correctly. Then tear into them.

If done correctly? It can sway many people to side with the critic. Thus it is a very good technique. :)

How strange. There was a doco on the telly about the side-effects of extreme thinness. Personally I don't think it is too good a body image to be shoving down the throats of young women.

There is a wide gap between being obese and thin and everyone has a point in that spectrum which flaunts their figures. For those with small breasts, thinner works better.

Nothing is a larger turn-off than a woman who does not have the decency to care for her own health, which isn't that hard. Instead of starving or shoveling in boatloads of deep-fried crap, a reasonable and regular diet of healthy food is better.
