I got home two days ago, and a friend from along time ago was online. We were going to hang out, and I asked her what she wanted to do. I recommended going sledding, as it had just snowed, and I picked up a new sled and Needed someone to go sledding with.

I told her I would call after I was done at the mall, around 6ish. Well, I called and she was at her mothers house, and told me to come over, Alright I went over, I brought her mother a bottle of wine, and I got some beer for me, along with marlboro reds, which I left for her before I left from hanging out.

I got there, and they were glad to see me, I mean she got dolled up a little, and her mom started talking to me about the war asking all kinds of questions, It was alright, considering.

We went back to her apartment, and me and her brother were playing chess, and she kinda did her own thing, trying to talk to us, and get in on what we were talking about. I kinda blew her off, but at the same time I didn't.

The rest of the evening was defiantly not about her, like I thought it would be, you know, like I thought we would play catch up, and we sort of did, but theres that line where you know words can't change the past. Awkward, sort of, but at the same time not so much, as her friends came over, and they were cool with me, and eventually I had to take her brother home.

I waited by the door, and she came over to me. She had been giving me these looks all night, and She kept asking me if something was on my mind. I had seen that look so many times, and honestly, it fucking hurt. That looks that just stares down your soul like an owner breaking a new puppy. I couldn't look her in the eyes, and when I broke my stare from the lineolium floor, I looked at her and I asked "What?". She answered, and smiled and her brother was ready, I left.

I still have her Christmas present a matching set of alpaca gloves, and a sled :/. I also want to ask her If I can borrow her guitar, so I can restring it, she broke a sting a long time ago, and never fixed it.
