ok im posting this in SA because its gross that i have a big cyst in my lip and my girl friend kisses me and shit.
So yea i went to the doctors a while back and he told me i have a oral cyst.. he said it might pop on its own but i probably will need it to be opened by the oral surgeon.
but fuck that i was wondering if i could just squeez and pop.. i dont want to make a slit to drain it because i dont want to catch fucking spinal meningitis and die.

Really what should i do its fuckign gross already its a somewhat hard bumb in my inner bottom lip. its just a little bit smaller than a 6mm airsoft bb.

Im thinking about popping it like a zit.. would that work or is it too deep in my skin to do that? If i pop it that way do you think it would get infected?

Because the doctor said it might naturaly rupture.. So if it naturaly ruputure then it should be safe to pop right?

I think it would probably hurt to pop, because I doubt it's that close to the surface.

I wouldn't risk it. It looks like there's a lot of blood travelling through there. Just let the doctor do it and enjoy the drugs you get afterwards.

edit: Also, what if it gets infected? Mouths are generally pretty dirty, and I imagine it would be fairly hard to keep it clean without a doctor's care.

Just let the oral surgeon do it. He knows better.

Although I shudder at the thought. The last time I went to see an oral surgeon, well...I wont forget that pain any time soon.

i tried kinda with a sewing needle and couldnt do it because i was pushing hard and it wouldnt pop and i was scared that i would go to far and penetrate my lip.

And im really scared of infections

No. Not a fucking sewing needle. At least get something that's sharp! And unless you're using a REALLY BIG needle, it may not make a big enough hole for the goop to come out. What you want to do is pick up a scalpel.

Soak your lip/mouth affected area with a cloth soaked in hot water for at least 10 minutes. 2-3 10 minute applications are even better.

Make an incision NOT in the CENTER, but off to the side of it.

Squeeze/push stuff out. If it's not all coming out, you either made the incision too small, or too far to the side.

As for aftercare, I would just press a cottonball to it until it stops bleeding. And after that, get some mouthwash. DILUTE it! Tongue piercing style. 1/2 Mouthwash, 1/2 DISTILLED water. And make sure to rinse EVERY TIME you EAT, SMOKE, OR PUT ANYTHING IN/OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. Also: seasalt soaks.

If you're nice to it and careful, the chance of infection is quite small.

Youtube search for cyst and/or cyst removal, just to get some idea of what you may be getting into.
