Yeah, the primary objective was to kill this thread. But alas, that did not work out as planned. So the committee met and agreed that if you can't kill a troll thread, the next best thing was to hijack it. Seems that has already been acomplished, but only for this particular thread. There are so many more out there now, and so very, very many ones to come.

Interesting perspective, and one that is not at all unique to you. That is a pretty common theme that I have heard from quite a few sources. It is definately a legitimate point; but I have been also trying to evaluate the balance between what the proponents claim regarding the redevelopment of their current site versus the potential for the new stadium.

Doesn't at all affect me directy either, but we are dealing with a lot of semi-similar situations here. The current owners are making what seem to be almost promises of a trophy winning team in the years to come (between now and when the "new" stadium would be completed.)

I'm not a baseball fan by any means, but even I know the rays suck bad.

People talk about the Redsox, Yankees, etc. But I never hear anyone mention the Rays, they blow.

I don't think the whole new stadium will happen, just wishful thinking by the new owners.
