Default Don't want to spend the night...

My girlfriend and I both have our own places. She'll frequently spend a few nights in a row at my place, or me at hers.

So, today, I'm not feeling too well. I just need some rest. She calls and asks me to come spend the night. I tell her that I didn't feel up to it. I wasn't feeling well and I needed to get a good nights sleep.

She flips out.

What the hell is wrong? Was I that much of a dick? It's not that I don't want to be with her and it's not like I've ever refused her before - I'm just not feeling up to anything tonight.

Am I at fault, here?

Are you saying that she's like one of those girls in the Tampex ads? All smiley/active/friendly when she's on the rag? That she never wants some space to be alone?

If she had her way, we'd be attached at the hip.

It's not that I don't like her, I just don't want to be around her ALL the time.

no nothin you did...but just explain that its because you arent feeling well and may be sick, this is understandable for any human being, when you get a nasty cold the first few days you feel like you got hit by a mac truck...also say you wouldnt want to get her sick in case you might be

if you mention possibility of being sick rather than im just not up to it, itll look a little less like you are avoiding her

even though it doesnt look like you are avoiding her, its just girls think in pretty wacked out ways

hope this helps

Thanks. Sometimes, I just don't know. Like, she'll feel so pissed about something like this, that I take a step back for a second and can't help but ask:

Is this my fault? Is it something to do with me, or are most women just bat shit crazy?

Perhaps it's that the world is a scary & frightening place...

Thus small weak women (don't matter how tough they act: if they fall in the cold, winter river? They don't walk on the water, they drown in it like anybody else.) create wonderful little fantasy worlds.

If the 'actors' (you fer instance) don't pic up on all their cues & perform their parts par excellance? The whole shoddy little fantasy structure comes crashing down &, "It's all your fault you ungrateful little bastid! After all I've done for you too!" :D

The only time being sick has stopped me from doing stuff was when i had a 104 degree fever.

I just need space some time from everyone, not just my girlfriend. You're not in the wrong.

I know, but how do I explain this to her without her jumping to these conclusions (which she does):

1. I want a less serious relationship
2. I want to see other people
3. I don't like her as much as I claim
4. Something is wrong

Does she have her own 'Plastic Man'...eg: a vibrator?

I've heard women who have them question why they need a man?...

...."Well...still need someone to cut the grass!" :D

"I am sick. I do not want to get you sick. I will stay home tonight."

easy123.

For extra points: "Come over here and take care of me."

I told her she was welcome to come over here, but she can't because she has this new puppy that she can't leave alone for a real long time.

So, I'm fucked no matter what.

Mad "You'll leave my sweet lonely boner all alone but you won't leave your puppy alone? I wonder 'bout you sometimes!"

She prob thinks that the pup is a psuedo-child & she wants to see how you interact with it. See if you're 'Daddy Material'... :p

THAT my friend should be your first and most important clue.

If you honestly and truly want to be her siamese twin, then do not hesitate to rush her the nearest 'quality' jewelery store and let her pick out the engagement ring that you will buy for her. Set a date within the next few moths for your wedding. Then come crying to us about your miserable life with a domineering, obsessing bitch of a wife.

Choice number two: Dump her sorry clinging ass. Now.

Love is wonderful. Love is magical. True love can conquer all and is beyond description in the ways it can make your life happy beyond imagination. Love is what makes the world go around.

But, sorry to say, what you have with her is NOT love.

Go out and find it with someone who is capable.

pmheworp has it down... take this advice. Its only going to end badly you both have differing ideas of what you want out of this relationship. Don't drag it out if you know shes as clingy as she sounds..
